Nice one Sims.

Don't hesitate to send an invite if you're raiding, as, like you, I do miss the camaraderie. I pretty much stopped when I got to low 390's. I'm high enough for raid/trials, so didn't feel the urge to grind to max light which is the first time I haven't.

Anyway, I insist on a festive, nostalgic raid marathon sometime during the holidays. Would like to run shield and sword relics one more time before Destiny is retired.

Finally did Aksis after putting it off for ages, got sick of the randoms on our team so gave it another go tonight and did it 3 man, actually easier than 6 man, more manageable.

Not Destiny related, but...

Long story, short version, HMV will allegedly have Titanfall 2 for £20 in friday.

Forge finally gave me 395 ghost but that wasn't enough to get me to 395 overall. It's the gloves holding me back as they are 393. Cashed in the few exotic engrams I'd been holding on to and not one decrypted to a higher light level but I did get three exotics I didn't have - Dunemarchers for the Titan, Heart of Praxic Fire for the Warlock and 4th Horseman shotgun, not bad I suppose

Interesting run though Crota's End with Sims and Jammy this morning. Between us, we discovered that the bridge cheese still works and playing hide and seek with the Gatekeeper is still a laugh, Razelighter will one shot the Swordbearer, 2 Gjally rockets will kneel Crota and 6 smacks will take him down (hard mode). Oh and Crota still has seemingly bonkers range to take the sword runner down

Yep, impromptu Crota run for nostalgia's sake and very entertaining it was too!

I can still remember my way through the abyss, and, yes, the warlock self-res cheese on the bridge still works. I'm still amazed that never got fixed, but I suppose at this point in time it's unlikely to ever happen. And yes, it's a bit easier than it was back in the day! I still have memories of hitting this raid three times a week for months, way back when we were capped at light level 32 and Crota was a 33. I recall not getting my Crux of Crota to drop until the 37th attempt at hard mode, and it used to take a couple of rockets to get Swordbearer down then three to get Crota to kneel and I think 12-15 hits with the sword thanks to the level disadvantage we were at.

My swordbearing was a little rusty - it took several goes to get our timing and positioning correct as well, but yes, five hits gets Crota to enrage with just a sliver of health left and six now kills him.

Moog, don't sweat the gauntlets. If we can get our WotM run done tonight, there's a good chance you'll get a set to drop at a few levels higher. If we're still short on numbers, we can open up to randoms or I'll try and get some of my clanmates in. There's bound to be interest there.

After running through WoTM many times with a Hunter I jumped straight into hard mode with a self res Warlock. It was so much easier! More armour and no worries about dying. The group I was with was excellent too, only wiped 4 times total, and that included doing the challenge mode with the silly hitboxes on the doors.

Will hopefully be running through again tomorrow after reset. Although Aksis challenge mode, bleh...

Took my titan into the forge for a couple of hours on Sunday and went from 379 to 385 from just the pick ups there.

Now looking to get my hunter and titan to 390.....

A max armour warlock with The Ram and Raid chest armour equipped laughs at adds trying to kill him, even during the most hectic phases of the Vosik encounter. The intrinsic perks of those items mean you can walk through swarms of adds that would be absolutely lethal to squishy hunters, and may even present some titans a problem.

Skeeterm, stop messing around with Forge, come raid with us.

We ended up trying to 4 man normal mode tonight as we couldn't get enough to try it on Heroic and would have been very glad of your company. We made it to Zamboni but our lack of numbers counted against us and we couldn't get all parts fitted before timing out. Another ten seconds and we'd have had it. We're not elitist snobs, we don't care how inexperienced you are with it, Wrath of the Machine is pretty easy to learn but it's also huge fun just to pick it up and have a go.

As said in party chat to Moog, Stimps and Jammy tonight, I'm off work this week, so will be looking to get at least one heroic raid done tomorrow. If you want some help getting through on normal, I'm more than happy to help with that.

Raid @ 8pm tonight?

Got four spots, need 2 more. Happy to run through normal if any one needs sherpa-ing, or hard if we get an experienced team.

Finally got the Outbreak Prime quest over and done with today, start to finish. It wouldn't have been too bad if it wasn't for the class requirement.

It looks cool which is the most important thing. Not too bad as a primary though I wish the nano mites didn't take so long to recharge. I should be rewarded for headshots...

Need to start the quest but think you need 6 people for the 4th monitor?

Had a productive couple of days.

Smashed the raid with a team of 6 self-res Warlocks - the hitboxes on the doors for the Vosiks CM caught us out a couple of times, but after that we didn't wipe at all.

Then this evening I finally acquired Dark Drinker and Bolt Caster. Had Raze Lighter for a while now but after seeing what Dark Drinker does to Aksis I had to have it. Then I needed to complete the set smile

I got all three classes to 400 at the start of the week, then had a bit of a falling out with my Clan who essentially didn't like the fact that I got all three characters to max light without raiding with them.

I was a bit pissed off with the way it was handled; no messages on PSN, nor on the group page on facebook (which is where I joined via) and when I asked why, I was booted out of the FB group before getting a reply and got a string of messages in a tone I didn't appreciate it.

Oddly, I got a message back yesterday asking if I wanted to come back, they'd like to have me. Er, no. fk right off.

It was a bit of a shame because the few that I'd played with were decent guys (and got me to the Lighthouse for the first and likely only time), but the people running it were so far up each others arses you could only see their toes poking out.

Aptly, that pretty much means I'm done with Destiny. I think, at least. I did a bit of crucible today and finally got a Matador 64 to drop, but didn't have much incentive to do a lot else. A raid would be good, if we can organise it, but Titanfall 2 should arrive tomorrow and I've got an enormous back log to work through on the Xbox One as well. May be time to take a break from Crackstiny.

Sounds like the way my nephew would react (he is 11). Actually no, I'd like to think he's a bit more mature than that!

Sims, that's a bit petty if (some of them) chose to throw their toys out of the pram like that - people should play games how and when they want to play them, not based on the dictat of someone with a Napoleon complex. Better off out than in - I've never really understood the point of Clans anyhow and it sounds like some like to take it just a bit too far

You've done more in Destiny than I have but personally, I think Destiny has probably run it's course for me. No characters at 400 and WotM still not finished (not through lack of opportunity, I've just not had the time or sometimes inclination based on the events of the day) but I'm cool with all that - never finished King's Fall either

I'm almost at the new max level in The Division now too (just need a good chest piece to hit 256), but without anyone else playing it (aside from Stimps who levelled it quicker than I did biggrin) there is little there to offer longevity especially as I don't have any of the DLC

Not been back to Titanfall since I finished the campaign, I perhaps should

The Last Guardian has potential and released in about a week, but that's a single player affair ...
