Of course, we're all likely to jump into the VoG whenever we get the chance to during the week etc, but I think a Sunday afternoon run works quite well- killing some usually dead time. Well that's the case for me anyway.
I'll happily start the same next Sunday at around the same time, if you guys are around and up for it.
Yeah, it was good fun and nice to do something different! Count me in, I might bring the warlock if I can get him up to lvl 26 or 27I'll happily start the same next Sunday at around the same time, if you guys are around and up for it.
Apologies to martin008 - I got kicked out of the servers just as I was loading up our strike.
Anyone fancy helping me take on the weekly challenge tomorrow night, around 8? I need it to finally get an exotic shotgun.
I just requested membership of the PH clan. Crockostimpy is the user name.

jjones_666, and anybody else that is interested- this will probably kick off on Sunday at 1pm. I'll prioritise (sp?) those that are interested. Otherwise, it's a case of sending invites to those that are on or people just joining if there is a slot available.
Whoever stated that the RNG needs to be tweaked is bang on. Finally managed the weekly nightfall strike last night with Bokka and a random. They both got exotic weapons. Me? 5 strange coins.

I'll be online doing the weekly nightfall events tonight from about 8pm. I have two characters I need to do it for. PSN is EECCTimH. Feel free to join my fireteam if you see me online. Likewise, send me an invite if you need any help.
I'm in.Although the servers were playing funny buggers last night.. Give Singh111 a shout too, he loves getting strange coins from the weekly's ;-)

Open your NAT type , if you dont know what that is . Have a google ,its usually the root cause of most online issues even from ps2 pro evo days .
Thanks, I'll double check that. I thought it was open because it always used to be. Actually come to think of it that was on the PS3 so maybe it isn't on the PS4. I should add that I'm not good with these sorts of things at all (if that wasn't already obvious). Firstly, i looked up what NAT type and DMZ (demilitarized zone) meant and found a few videos that explain how it works on the PS4. I have to use a wireless connection at home, which is a bummer, so the first thing to do was get the password off the bottom of the router. At this point i found out that some genius had hidden the router behind a load of stuff of the floor, so the connection to the PS4 had dropped from 85% to 60%. An easy win correcting that issue...
Next i set up a static IP, which is a simple thing to do when you're following a YouTube guide. The port forwarding was a problem as i couldn't get a specific model name for my router. It just says the brand name (Thompson) and 'O2 Wireless Router IV'. So i Googled that router to find a solution. All i found was a lot of people blaming O2 wireless routers for all of their online gaming problems and saying there was no solution, not least as the router doesn't allow for a DMZ. I also found that I had UPnP enabled and NAT type 2, which apparently means all should have been well. So instead I gave Destiny a go with just the stronger connection to the router and the static IP. The resultant connectivity issues were pretty terrible. I got a couple of laggy Crucible games in, then got booted from that and everything else. Having cursed the world for trolling me, i gave up.
Bu my poor brain wouldn't give up and having logged into my router through my Internet browser I happened to find a box under 'Gaming and Consoles', that said 'DMZ Enable'. I put my new-fangled static IP address into that, enabled it and gave Destiny another go. From the outset everything seemed a bit quicker, which no connectivity issues. I played through a random Tiger Strike and all seemed well right up until half way through the final boss when the connectivity warning popped up. Or at least, so i thought. Turns out it was JimBadders joining my Fireteam. Thanks for the help at the end there Jim, but you property scared the bejeezus out of me for a moment.
By now it was already past my bedtime, but I'd had 30mins problem free gaming. It wasn't enough to know whether it was just chance, but here's hoping the DMZ has solved my problems

I'll be on tonight too Rperkins12
I'll be doing daily and weekly twice (have level 24 titan and 28 hunter).
I also really want to do VoG, Nightfall but above all I desperately need to do The Summoning Pits on level 26 so I can get my exotic handgun. Apparently I have to kill all the minions surrounding the big guy then some chick with big norks pops out and I have to kill her. Anyone want to help?

I've done this fella and I am happy to help. There is a way to cheese it which is pretty much essential. It is very tough otherwise. I'll not be on tonight but send me an invite next time I am on. We'll give it a go. Flat-out said:

Yes! Whats your PSN again? Singh?
Almost- Singh111s. I *think* we're already PSN buddies. Weapons causing solar and arc damage are pretty much essential so tool up appropriately if possible/focus on ranking up such weapons beforehand if you can. There is a horrific bit where 4 very aggressive wizards come flying at you, giving you everything they've got. 1 or 2 hits from one of them and you're pretty much toast.
It is doable with 2 though. Easier with 3.

Thanks to "Rob from Sheffield" for the runs yesterday afternoon/evening, sorry i cant remember your in-game name!
This game is getting a little repetitive for me though, i have Thief coming on rental so hopefully playing something else for a week or so will re-light my fire for the game, its getting stale!
