You definitely need it for the Crucible. I think without PS+ you see people in the world around you, but you cannot join a fire team, as that is online play, which needs PS+

Not sure as the "PH clan" doesn't seem to be recognised as such yet (the game / website tells me that I'm not a member of a clan), so I've started sending friend invites out to those folks who have posted their PSN IDs on here - hope you all don't mind

Also I noticed that some features / stages require you to subscribe to Playstation Plus including for example creating your own Fireteam - anyone know what that is and should I be bothered and how is this different to inviting your friends to tackle a stage with you? I'm not currently on Playstation Plus but could be persuaded if I'm missing out (£40 a year)

Just had a very quick game with DrCooper. Was my first co-op mission and it was much more fun than solo. I have played so little that I don't even know how to join 'friends'.

Starting next week I intend to give this game a good hammering!

got some time in last night, starting to get into this. Should be on at the weekend and hopefully level up and the other half is away.

Seems to me that PS+ will be required to get the most out of this game. I tried to join the crucible by talking to the vanguard bloke but, there doesn't seem to be any option to join in. Will probably sign up over the weekend.

Made a bit more progress now to level 8 and am now on the moon missions - still having fun but, have a feeling co-op will be more enjoyable

I've added about half the list so far, will get the rest added later today.

I had a go at the CONTROL game in the crucible this morning - man I suck!! I basically just run around, not sure who I should be shooting and get killed alot! I think the term is 'cannon fodder' which isn't that much fun! I will persevere but, the crucible may not be for me!

Doing missions with someone else however, that is fun!! Singh111s joined me for a Moon mission this morning and, as he is 5 levels above me, made pretty short work of the swarms of fallen who I could not have dealt with on my own!!

I think I might try a Titan character too - will I have to do all the earth missions again?
