Anyone for a a run at weekly nightfall or Raid tonight?

I've yet to do either but finally getting some decent weapons (lv 27 warlock)

Maybe they've introduced a reward system based on performance.............

That was pretty harsh. All that 'returning to orbit' for nothing would leave me feeling cheated.

Nice one on the pistol Garry. Nearly bought Xur's one this weekend. I've been using my legendary one and it's terrefic fun, makes me feel like a coyboy and with your one have an auto fire makes it a viable primary.

I like the whole gung-ho, cchhhaaarrrrggggeeeee!!!!! approach. I think I'm going to try a few legit attempts at the bosses before resorting to cheese in future though.

Sorry, I couldn't join you lads. I wasn't ignoring those who sent me invites, my invites wseem to arrive hours after they've been sent a lot of the time, not really sure what's going on there??

As for the Last Word I'd rate it as one of the best weapons in the game, great for PvE and also surprisingly very useful in PvP. Once you get the hang of it, 2-3 shots will put most down and in a pinch you can even spray and pray if you get surprised close-up by wailing on the trigger.

Thanks to slinkster for helping me take my warlock from 12-13 > 20 in about 5 hours on saturday .Shame we couldnt do the raid on hard yesterday

Is anyone else having rubbish luck with the random drops?

I've done the raid 3 times now and only had Ascendant material and I did the Nightfall over the weekend with my two characters and got 6 strange coins for each game! I would have got more from the weekly strike! Whats that about!!?

If you only got 6 coins you'd either already done it to earn 3 coins, or didn't do it on level 28. It gives out 9 coins total.

Enthusiast is talking about the Nightfall, not weekly heroic - sometimes you get ascendant materials (shards/energies/coins) instead of a legendary/exotic item and it looks like he got stiffed twice this week in the Nightfall.

Hopefully the next Iron Banner tournament will even things out a bit with the armour at least - I hear that you will be able to buy boots and gloves that will upgrade to level 30 from the Iron Banner vendor.

The current set up just doesn't work - you have level 30s who don't even know their way through the Raid and level 29s who have completed it 5 or 6 times.

It wouldn't be so bad, but you need level 30s to be able to complete the hard raid, it simply isn't possible with a team of 29s.

Yesterday I was trying to find a team to finish off Atheon on Hard with my level 29 Warlock and couldn't get one together for love nor money. As soon as I switch to my level 30 titan (which I'd already done it with earlier in the week), I was bombarded with invites to fireteams.

yeah that's it, I was talking about the nightfall. I was screwed over big time. I even did it both times with one other player where I have a lv28 hunter and a (just) lv27 Titan. I died once on both games - We absolutely smashed it. Boom, 6 coins each. Last week I got Universal remote though, swings and roundabouts.

But the game needs balancing big time, I have been pretty lucky in the past (got Hawkmoon from a lv24 standard strike) but recently I've had nothing.

That was me inviting you i think ,now i know what im doing in the raid . My mate hit 30 aswel , so if there was 3 of us we would have stood a chance.

Ah I see, I never consider the Nightfall as a way to get SC, usually get a couple ascendants. Which is all I really got from the Hard Raid last night too, other than the ship.

Not just you mate, I was getting invites every 20 seconds or so - not helpful when you're doing the Nightfall and the PS notification covers your radar!

I've built up quite a few randoms on my friends list over the past few weeks advertising on websites for people to do Raids with at odd hours and it seems Sunday afternoon is happy hour for hard raids - think my record is 42 "friends" online at once!
