Good run last night considering we didn't know what we were getting into, a lot of fun IMO and worthy of being called hard mode.

Our team was excellent at times albeit we couldn't finish Crota.
As per I got nothing but shards and energy

I think we can finish it tonight if everyone's on,I've heard of people jumping up and throwing bubbles down where one of the boomers shoot from then killing the other boomer and that stops the wizard spawning, looks like Crota enrages at 10% health or 3 hits from the sword so the timing will need to be impeccable for that one.

EDIT - read the perks again - had always seen the bit about bonus damage, hadn't seen the bit about health regen...

I have a fully upgraded light beyond nemesis helmet. I always thought health regen on orb pick up was a bit of a crap perk!! Who knew!

Shame I have only just topped 31 and can't raid to get armour and shards for 32 :-(

Interesting that they have made Crota so hard AND removed health regen - that really flips the perks on their heads and makes extra orbs and health regen absolute musts. Sounds like you need the team to almost be constantly popping supers and feeding each other orbs to keep health up.

A good mechanic ONCE you are prepared for it and have all the gear - total pain otherwise!

Titan will breaker gauntlets I think have a perk that regents health on melee kills


Edit.. Just checked it's on the striker subclass called transfusion.. Nothing to do with armour... Also blessing of light would be useful to give everyone an over sheild.

Blessings of light useful, but you'd lose weapons of light.

Two titans, one configured each way and lots of orb generation may work.

I get a useful shield on melee kills, but i suspect there won't be many of them with level 33 Knights picking people off

Yeah also the titan perk that allows longer effect of blessing and weapons, wonder if that stacks across bubbles???
So if 1 person runs through 2 bubbles do the effects buff each other???

I think I've had blessings and weapons of light at the same time.
I don't know if the extended duration perk would double up if you ran through two bubbles that both had it....

Spent an hour watching people try to finish it on twitch last night and he does enrage when he would only need 1 more sword to kill him.

Yes it is a good game play mechanic, now I've had time to think about it further. And whilst your super bar is full, you can't pick up orbs to regen health, so it practically forces you to use your super.

But this is on the basis that you're equipped for it. I sharded my titans Skullfort because I never used it, as you said I never saw a need for the perk. My hunters mask of the third man is at the old light level as I wasn't around when it was available to upgrade, and xur hasn't sold it in a long time.

I don't want to use hungering blade to regen on melee as i use blink strike to go invis. This is more important when using the sword as you can stay next to crota in between kneeling phases.

I may have to rely on SUROS for the time being.

As Dalzo mentioned, we were on form last night. But when we cleared the crystal room of enemies and I did my normal dash for the chalice for it to not be there, I think the shock knocked the wind out of us as we were doing so well up to this point

At least we know what to expect now, we just need a bit of luck too.

I've done it once but it would be good to have at least 2 more people that know what they are doing. In hoping then we can have some 26-30 guys that haven't done it or only a few times like me.

It's a 26 raid but you wouldn't want all 26 as it would be hard. Stick your name down though. I'm 31, gridlinked will hopefully do it, simo, so we can carry you though.
