Also the game doesn't pay to do things on easy - ramp it up to Hard with an Heroic modifier and you get loot galore.
Before you trade it, come on with us tonight - Add me InnocentShadows
The game does play better on hard with modifiers, but I'm pretty sure the loot drops are the same drop rate/quality irrespective of what difficulty you play on. As for tonight, the wife will be home from work and I'll be off to bed early so I won't be on. I've not yet made my trade order on Amazon so I may be on over the coming days. Having played quite a bit online with my brother, we both found it pretty naff. Before you trade it, come on with us tonight - Add me InnocentShadows
I played for about 2 hours last night. I worked my way up to level 4 playing the story mode. How do I start playing the online games against other people ? Do I need to reach a certain level to be able to play or am I just missing something obvious ? I'm normally play the COD battlefield type games with the menu/lobby at the start so its all a bit new to me.

You unlock it later on, I think you need to do the mission to obtain the warp drive for your ship to travel to different planets. It's to the right of the earth on the planet selection screen.

seems the Xbone destiny thread is a bit quiet, then again the PS3 threads were always busier back in the day too.
Why am I lvl 25 but when I do lvl 24 kill missions for the Queen I die all the freakin time. I haven't finished one yet because I get bored of dying all the time!
I tend to do only the earth and moon queens missions, the earth one I can solo in about 5 mins and you still get the same loot. Why am I lvl 25 but when I do lvl 24 kill missions for the Queen I die all the freakin time. I haven't finished one yet because I get bored of dying all the time!
Sniping is your friend on these missions and make sure you take the normally lower level enemies with shields out first. I might be on later if you want a hand. Gamertag is dalzo

Didn't think of that, the only ones I've been doing have been Venus or Mars missions, guess I keep missing the Earth or Moon ones. Do they change every day or each time you take the mission?Sniping is your friend on these missions and make sure you take the normally lower level enemies with shields out first. Also, when you do those missions, click in whatever button it is to bring up your ghost and have a look at the modifiers for the mission. This will show you which element does extra damage. Each of the Queen's missions has one elemental modifier active, whether it be void (purple with a swirly icon), arc (blue with a spiky icon), or solar (orange with a fire icon). Enemies that fire a weapon at you of that type (easy to recognise due to the colour of the beam) will do three times the normal damage whilst that modifier is on, equally you'll do three times the damage to them whilst it's on if you use a special or heavy weapon of that element type.
It's also worth remembering this for shields on enemies, the colour of the shield will tell you what type it is and a weapon of that type will do massive damage and strip the shield much quicker than any other means. This becomes very important in the higher-level strikes, as you simply don't have time to spend whittling down shields, so a team member with an appropriate fusion-rifle equipped will make mincemeat of shielded enemies.

We had another good crack at the weekly nightfall strike last night and without the above knowledge we wouldn't have done nearly as well as we did. Managed to take the tank out with just 24 arc sniper shots. Each normal shot taking 5000+ damage points. We came so close to actually completing it, dropping the last boss to about a quarter of it's health before we all got killed and booted back to orbit. So frustrating.
They now need to add a higher level strike playlist IMO. With all of this practice on the queens wrath missions and weekly strikes, the current level 24 playlist isn't the challenge it once was.

Each time you take a mission, if it not the moon or earth I just reboot it till the come on.http://m.uk.ign.com/videos/2014/10/03/destiny-easi...
