Spent so long on Crota and in the end it got me a new ship, skirt and shader. Seriously considering not bothering again until some glitches get patched.
I've experienced it all today. Knights through the glass at the start, disappearing swords, boomers teleporting to the floor, sword bearer vanishing, Crota refusing to get of a tiny slither of health, ogres not spawning, Crota respawning, Crotas shield refusing to go down, Crota getting up randomly, not going down randomly. It's a right mess.
Looking forward to a regular run and a vog run tomorrow then the nightfalls and weekly Tuesday.

Its been an eventful day in the land of Destiny! Managed to clear crota on hard with all three of my characters.
Titan went first. Bagged myself the Fang of Ir Yut scout rifle, sparrow, shader and shards.
Warlock second. Got the Word of Crota hand cannon, shader and shards.
And tonight I ran the sword with my hunter main and got the helmet, shader and energies.
It is a bit of a slog, no matter how prepared you think you are you do need a bit of luck for everything to fall into place. Experienced most of the glitches mentioned. My favourite tonight was crota chasing me into the crystal room whilst I was invisible, and giving me what for with his sword!
The strategy is pretty straight forward, and I'm not completely convinved you need a full team of 6 players to accomplish it. In fact I would argue that the more you have, the higher the risk of a wipe.
First attempt today was done with three 32's, two 31's and a level 30!!!
Second attempt only had two 32's, the rest 31's.
4 level 32's could beat this if they've got Gjallahorns/Hunger of Crota IMO.

Well spent some time over the weekend and had a bit of fun learned a few things from the nice people on here
And now on level 30. seems going from level 26/27 to 30 was quicker than I though and good suggestion by someone to buy a few legendary items from Xur so I can dismantle them to upgrade my legendary armor quicker helped

I may have overreacted last night, I might still have a go from time to time. I'd really like the hand cannon. It'd make the Thorn bounty a lot easier.
Tank, we finished it off with 5 and as the nominated boomer/crota distractor I was just helping chip away with IB at him until our sword bearer went down and then started rocketing him. If you're peppering him with primary/secondary then it only really takes 2-3 Gjallahorns. We had two competent sword bearers, the main one was a titan (his secondary character) but it didn't stop him 4 hitting Crota a few times and the guy that stepped in was a hunter with the blink strike.

I still can't believe I got absolutely nothing...

Excellent! Glad some of you guys got to finish it. Tank, as ever, pulls in a massive haul! 
I *think* nearly all the glitches are lag induced? Although the Crota AI sounds a bit wobbly too.
Big thanks to The TrashLives who started helping me with the nightfall and weekly, although he'd done it already. I wasn't playing very well and a couple of stupid wipes by me meant we had to abandon that attempt.
So I ended up doing one and a bit VoG hard raids! My first ever!
First group were some random kids, and as soon as I heard their voices my heart sank a bit, but actually they were fine. They did really well with 4 of them and 2 randoms (and carrying me). They had the gatekeepers checkpoint and I think we only wiped once.
Second group were a mixed bag of Brits, sounded like 4 or so that knew each other plus a couple of randoms. They had their new glowing Crota hard shaders so they must be pretty good. We did the whole raid from the start, and got on quite well. We got a little stuck on the confluxes, and JUST scraped through it in the end.
We also got quite stuck on aetheon, they didn't all jump to centre but just ran around the edges shooting him. I found it quite hard/chaotic, so was only getting 1 or 2 IB shots on him rather than 4 to 6. They had a few ghorns though. In the end we kept it together enough to get 3 cycles of teleports and took him out.
My "only" drops were corrective measure and the Raid helmet! Getting a helmet on my first run 3 months ago would have been amazing...now I just thought "oh well a few more shards to help me level up to 31 again"
Main thing was getting shards etc to help level armour...PLUS completing hard!

Been there. Contrary to what everyone thinks, Crotas End hasn't been kind to me. Yesterday was the exception rather than the rule. It's a bit deflating going through all of that grief to get nothing of use. I'm also surprised that you got a class item from Crota, I thought that was dropping off the deathsinger (same as the old first chest).The silver lining in all of this is that it hopefully won't be for nothing when the next DLC drops. I agree with the issues on the new materials. These new weapons I bagged yesterday won't be upgraded for weeks as I need so many!!!

If they're not re-setting exotics next time - what will they do? Add more damage bubbles to take it up a notch?
If they're not going to make vendor gear at least as high, if not higher level than 32...then what level are they going to set HoW and how are people going to get there?

it is but I can't see CE Hard getting any more playable until bungie recognise some of the glitches.

When we had put crota down, barely one hit away from death and his shields miraculously recharged as he sprang to his feet and hit the cloaked sword bearer in one motion three people left instantly. I don't blame them though, I was at that stage a few times!!
I'm guessing we'll get a team on again post Tuesday to have a crack. Despite my current state of apathy count me in.

I would like to see the next raid start at level 32, and anyone who isn't at level 32 to be at a big disadvantage when attempting it. Vanguard gear should be kept at 31 max, they cant reverse this now.
They need to force players through the levelling process by way of playing the raids. They got it drastically wrong with Crotas End. The VoG became a ghost town overnight when you could buy your way straight to level 31.
They could even add another difficulty to the VoG to drop armour to get you to level 32. Then at least there will be 2 methods to get there.
There are plenty of players at level 30+ who haven't even stepped into the VoG on normal. Which is a real shame because the its still the best content and most fun to be had playing Destiny.
