I made a a few jokes last night about an "A" Team forming after some comments were made in party chat.

This is not the case -

As we have found out since the launch of the CE Hard, we need the best team availible to get this completed, Unfortunatley that does mean some hanging around for 20 - 30 mins at times, waiting for those players - but this dosent have to be sat in orbit.

I may have put people's backs up last week when I listed the fireteam, this wasn't chosen just on skill, but also on availability throughout the week.

The daily players have never refused to help anyone, even if that means doing the nightfall/heroic 5/6 times without reward.

If you can only get on for an hour or two a week, there is time to complete the VOG & CE. Remember they don't have to be done in one hit, most of us run three guardians so there will always be someone to help you get what need to get done.

It was. Managed to get the assault rifle and a ton of shards myself. Still no chest armour for my warlock....

Just need the pulse now and I have a full set (excluding the shotgun, don't care about that gun!)

Running the lamps with just 4 titans was really good fun last night. Ward of dawn and Helm of Saint 14 is a great combo for constructing the bridge. We even had an ogre in the bubble at one point

Yeah..this is gonna piss you off a little... Literally 10 mins after you left.. and only took about 10-15 mins to get all that gear.

Is it the bubble that confuses them all or the helm? Certainly think it's a good strategy though, try it on hard later?

Joined a group who were switching to ruin wings at the start of the final Crota CP in an attempt to get more heavy drops. We all seemed to get at least one per go. Not sure if that is a coincidence or not but they seemed to think it made a difference, they'd then switch back up to 32 armour.

The perk for the helm makes enemies confused when they walk into the bubble. Only got it from my exotic engram spending spree with Xur on the weekend. It's a great helm, always wanted to try it out in the lamp phase, works just as well in offence as fist of havoc. But you can rapidly punch the thralls to get your super back up

I've had mixed results with ruin wings. It either litters the floor with heavy, or you don't see any for ages. One thing I have noticed though on all characters, is that I tend to get a lot of heavy drop when I have Dragons Breath equipped. Not sure if it has Surplus as a hidden perk or not (most if not all exotic weapons seem to have a hidden perk)

I fully agree with Innocent's stance above - I'm not on much and I'm fully aware that I fill in raiding gaps as a reserve rather than a regular. I'm fine with that - those that put in the time and are more available should get the nod. I'm happy to jump in whenever I can and appreciate people re-running stuff for little reward (other than the glory of staring the Darkness in the face and not flinching).

For example, a group ran the VoG on Saturday. On normal. And it was fun (and somewhat messy).

I was on last night for a hour. Many of you I have on my Xbox was in a group/fireteam so I concentrated on was the Eris morn Urn of Sacrifice bounty which i thought was going to be a bh.

But went to skywatch and waited a while and managed to kill Urok.

now just have to see what I get from Xur and see what I get. Anyone know?

Once you visit Xur you will then need to return to Eris and she will give you the Urn of Sacrifice mission, on the moon.

Its good fun and challenging especially on level 30. Finish that and you will get legendary gauntlets with a random primary reload perk as mentioned.

In fact they should unlock this level to be replayed like they did with the 'Fist of Crota'.

I think it's 33 light gloves. If you haven't got any that high already then I suppose it saves you spending some vanguard marks!

You won't know what xur will be selling until Friday I'm afraid, last weekend was crap (although I know everyone was well impressed with my no land beyond last night) but the week before was good (Icebreaker!)

Have you heard of the new Crota strategy? clear the first mobs and as soon as you go into the arena head to the room under the boomers on the right, get high take out the mobs, lure the sword guy in as Crota moves to the right and everyone piles on to get the sword, then everyone out up the stairs, titan bubble, then you take him out twice while he's on the right, then through the central room and repeat the same from the left side. almost completely removes the boomer threat and as you're on high the mobs aren't a worry.
