Destiny (Xbox One)

I'm about to trade in the game as just not enjoying it, it's just frustrating so going to get Lord of the rings shadow of mordor.
However looking at game trade in they don't recognise the limited edition barcode. Going to be massively pissed if they don't trade in the ltd ex, it's the same standard disc ffs.
Be massively pissed if I can't trade in because I thought the game looked really good so got the bigger edition Available.

You know this is almost the prequel to what the game is going to be right? Or that's what Bungie tell us.
The grind in the same maps over and over, or the difficulty scaled by making enemies better bullet sponges or less dos from your billets etc, and single player being incredibly frustrating gauntlet runs. I'll give it a bit longer as I got the DLC in my edition so I'll see what it's like when it arrives. If it's more skins and colour changes I'm done, if they expand the story a bit ill stay. You know this is almost the prequel to what the game is going to be right? Or that's what Bungie tell us.
Got shadows of mordor And alien to keep me going for now.
I'm not ready for VoG yet.
I got through the strike on Venus with a pair of matchmade randoms last night. All at least level 20, strike on normal, we still died a bit...
...was fun though, have discovered that a Titan can play a support role as you can survive heavy fire to revive people when a warlock or hunter would not.

Hi Guys
I'm looking for a group of people to do the RAID with, i'm level 28 titan (when I've got the right gear applied) have both subclasses maxed out, have 2 maxed legendary weapons and working on my exotic thunderlord. I have ran the RAID once with a group of experienced guys, and can hold my own in the defend this/kill that sections.
I am always online from 20:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays..
Feel free to add me GT: WUDDIE

Still laughing at the tower dance party after beating the raid last night!
Just been told I'm on nightshift for the next two weeks so looks like I'm out of the raids till then, will be grinding my level up during the day if anyone's off and fancys doing the nightfall and weekly strikes.

you're being suckered. I must get you to come and buy some shed of a car off me , and promise I'll pop round every couple of months to put in some upgrades and fix all the dents. Then within a year you'll have a really great carYou know this is almost the prequel to what the game is going to be right? Or that's what Bungie tell us.

is the only way to get purple stuff to buy it ? im level 24.5 and i still have no purple stuff. i have currency etc to buy things but no where near enough crucible points or vanguard things to level those sections up to unlock the ability to buy anything
You get random drops, doing the raid and iirc nightfall strikes usually gives legendary gearAt your level I found it a bit of a grind, do lots of bounties and patrols and your crucible and vangaurd will soon level up. Patrol missions where you assassinate a target give 25 points each so are the best ones to do. You can also farm material(spirit bloom, helium coils etc) and do a material exchange which gives you 25 vangaurd points aswell. Helium coils is probably the fastest material if you doing it this way, I had to farm them this morning and was getting 20 odd every run which is only 5 mins or so.
There is no player trading at the moment, maybe not even ever, but we shall see.
Cryptatarch rep levels gets you decent engrams which can be legendary. Or you can buy them from the vanguard mentor person with Vanguard marks which you earn through strikes or dailies.
Yes it's a bit of a grind, bring on the next DLC it had better be good. I just watched the Destiny reveal video again and the amount of stuff they promised but haven't delivered yet is irritating. It's nowhere near as open world as they said it would be at the moment.

Getting the raid wrapped up last night was good fun.
The quickest way to get gear IMO is doing the level 24 strikes. We've netted lots of legendary engrams as well as a few exotics. We've also had legendary engrams from doing the daily story on the hardest setting. If you can't manage it on your own, there are a few of us at level 29 now that can give you a hand.
I understand the criticism the game is getting but it's being treated as a single player game which it isn't. I would have probably moved on to something else by now and waited for the dlc but we're having a good laugh teaming up and running the bounties and strikes together. What would normally be a grind on your own isn't so bad with a bit of banter with others. It's very much a social game IMO and the raid demonstrates that perfectly.
Still, getting zebra codes all day preventing sign in.....
