What would normally be a grind on your own isn't so bad with a bit of banter with others. It's very much a social game IMO and the raid demonstrates that perfectly.
Agreed. I need to get on with you boys and show you how a real guardian gets blown to bits every 45 seconds or so...Finally on the Moon and enjoying the story a bit more.
Only real gripe is that in the darkzones (no respawning) like Circle of Bones, the mission is to kill a knight, so I am in the arena, kill a lot of the mobs that are about level 6-8, happy days, and I see a Hallowed Knight round a corner at the bottom of a corridor, he is lvl 12, so I use a missile and sniper rifle to bring him down, but as I do this he hides so I have to go kill him up close, I then find there are actually 2 of them and their cannon splash damage is one shot one kill on me.
I try the mission again (with no missiles now, because resetting the arena doesn't include resetting ammo!!) try again, die again. So I stop playing for the night.
I go and have a look at a walkthrough guide and find out you aren't even supposed to go near those knights, the one I want is in the middle of the arena a bit further on than I was and he is only a level 7.....I had no way of knowing this from the mission preamble.
Turns out many have gone past those lvl 12's and think its an area of the game that was closed off for future DLC.
Its frustrating wasting ammo and time doing something that was completely pointless. Reading a bit further on it seems the next few missions aren't much joy solo as its rush mob city and no respawns....yyyaaayyyy.....
Oh well, apparently Venus is pretty when I get there.

Look at your Nav point on the minimap, along with the white pointer on the main screen, it will steer you in the right direction. The area beyond those knights is used for the Strike on the moon.Only real gripe is that in the darkzones (no respawning) like Circle of Bones, the mission is to kill a knight, so I am in the arena, kill a lot of the mobs that are about level 6-8, happy days, and I see a Hallowed Knight round a corner at the bottom of a corridor, he is lvl 12, so I use a missile and sniper rifle to bring him down, but as I do this he hides so I have to go kill him up close, I then find there are actually 2 of them and their cannon splash damage is one shot one kill on me.

Annoyingly, I found I had 50 spinmetal last night so raced down to see Mr. Armourer, thank-you very much, 25 Crucible points.
Arse.
It was then I remembered that the Vanguard Armourer is in the hangar!
Agree with the comments about grinding, I'm 24-1/3rd and getting here has been a bit tedious, pretty much just relying on getting a good teamate (i.e. a few levels above) the hard vanguard strikes. I'm getting some good light now and weapons are OK, got my first legendary item drop last night and it was for a fecking hunter!
What can you do with all the ascension shards/energy? I've got a fair amount now and it's just rattling in my virtual titan pockets.

Don't sell any of the materials, legendary and exotic equipment needs a significant amount of it to upgrade.
The weekly heroic and nightfall strike is the moon level this week and it's going to be tough. Managed the heroic on level 28 so far (off work this week ) and it's hard.
Connection issues again today, keep getting caterpillar errors.
Did get an exotic scout rifle from a legendary engram though

If the connection stabilises then raiding it is.
Bad juju is okay as long as you are getting kills with it, it basically has infinite ammo. It is supposed to be getting a buff at some point so I wouldn't shard it just yet.
InnocentShadows and myself had a good crack at trying to open the vault door ourselves last night. It was hard but managed to get the spire half built at one point. It was good practice if anything.
