Simo - hello! 23 may be a bit low for the raid but I think a few people here are online quite a bit and teaming up for strikes etc is always fun

He does have an exotic gloves engram if you wanted to try your luck for 23(?) motes of light, chance you'll end up with crafting materials, or a kit for a titan or hunter instead, but I don't think I've seen any exotic gloves for either of the other classes around.Steve Evil said:

yeah true - but I'm never lucky and I'm not going to do alt charachters...plus I spent all my motes trying that last week :-)If im around I'm happy to help. GT is same as here.

Your best bet just now is to get help through some 24 strikes. They'll give you blue gear at level 20 which will get you to to 24 or so.
After that you need legendaries. The guaranteed way to do that is get to vanguard level 2 then you can buy legendaries... If you get a drop before that then you've been lucky. Once you've got one or two legendary armours you can get helped through the weekly heroic and nightfall which will let you get strange coins to buy an exotic or two. You'll also get more marks an/or drops and get the res of the armour you need.
Edited to say it was good to meet a few people from on here and have a few games last night.
I also gor to finish the raid in about 10 minutes ! And that included falling off the map

dragged myself to lvl 25 (from 23) over the weekend. Bought the Titan chest armour from Xur which bumped me up a fair bit.
Was one strange coin off for ages and couldn't find one anywhere. Spent about 3 hours doing strikes and going through chests (as per guides on youtube) but couldn't get one. Eventually ended up having a bash on the Crucible and randomly got one at the end.
The difference from 23 to 25 is huge. Any strikes are pretty much a breeze now and can solo all but the 24 one. Only problem is that I'm still too low for the nightfall and raid.

How are you solo-ing strikes? I thought as soon as you entered one that you were match-made with some random other players who may or may not stick around for the duration.Genuine question as I've avoided strikes because of this random element

Not sure tbh, I just seem to get put in on my own from time to time or have some cretin sit at the start and not play.Genuine question as I've avoided strikes because of this random element
Randoms are better than no one though, I've learnt a few good spots from them on certain strikes too. The abomination one has a crack in the back left cliff that's good for hiding in (ducking down you can hide from everything) and the Fallen High Priest one has a similar spot on between a cave roof and a ledge.

You shouldn't let that put you off. I'm not a big fan of online games with randoms myself but the strikes in Destiny have been fine. Add some of us to your friends list. We normally have an open party chat going most evenings, jump in and there where will be someone who will do the strikes with you.
I say all this but we've noticed that it can be a pain with the higher level players at the moment. There seems to be a race to get to the end boss as quickly as possible, missing any opportunity for engram drops along the way.

) was just curious about doing strikes solo. It's the same on PS4 though, folks jump on their hover bike and disappear off to the first point you can't simply drive through, very annoying I agreeback from London on Wed night so I may be up for doing the raid on Thursday night if the wife doesn't kick up a fuss. The issue with having the XBOne on the main TV, I thought about moving it upstairs but the surround is downstairs.
Got Altheons Epilogue levelled up and the Oracle killing bonus so I'm up for some death on a large scale, just hopefully not mine
