t. just mean when you get in a group and someone says I'll do it and it only takes 1 or 2 trys it makes all the difference. Not that long ago people were still learning. now many know how to do it i mean it's much easier
The main info I'm taking from last night is;
You now have a drop called a Etheric Light that lets you upgrade current legendary gear to light level 42 (lvl 34). It's not clear if this is all legendary gear or not but does include CE gear, VoG gear, maybe IB and definitely some vendor gear too.
Gear drops in the new DLC will be upgradeable to lvl 34.
You can re-roll vendor gear for different perks.
You can exchange all current materials with the speaker for a much cheaper rate than Eris (would have been real handy for a lot of people about 3-4 months ago!).
There's a fallen vendor; The house of judgement that sells an item called 'Judgement’s Chance', which has the description 'Attain a chance to acquire Prison of Elders rewards', you can also buy all vendor gear from him and get to lvl 34 anyway.
It seems that there's now 4-5 paths to being top level and it'll be much less grindy to get there. The diversity beneath that though is much wider. You're going to get people who are 34 much sooner but won't have the same armour/perks as a 34 who's put more time in.
It's not going to be a race/fight to the top level any more, more a challenge to get to the highest level with the best perks.
Most importantly Bungie will not be implementing Samuel L Jackson as ghost's new voice actor.
Actually I've changed my mind, most importantly the Hive Disruptor perk has been fixed for black hammer.... it will now appear complete!
Certainly think it'd be worth changing emphasis to VoG again so we've some options when it drops.

So, that's why I've not been on. But, hopefully replacement router should arrive today...

Looks like light level will be slightly obsolete and it's armour and weapon rolls that take it's place. I'm pretty excited for the new dlc!

Yes - once a reasonable amount of aetheric doodah's have dropped then "everyone" can be max level. It's hopefully a way of opening up all the gear and weapons so that people have more variety and can have fun with the "last" bit of destiny.I'm hoping that, Bungie are hoping that, the replayability of PoE will keep people coming back rather than the grind for elusive gear.
It also makes commercial sense to try and entice people back with a relatively easy upgrade path, and easier to access content (3 player, probably match-made, horde mode) who may have been turned off trying to find 6 man teams on a weekly basis.
That in turn also gives them a larger population to try and onsell the mysterious "comet" DLC.
I'm really looking forward to breaking back out my TDYK (although I will miss out on an elemental primary)
It seems i am having to work in Newport on the 19th booooooo but i have a hotel down there a 4g connection and no wife with me so i'm taking the xbox.....yeahhhhhhh.
Hopefully should be easy to download on the 19th so looking forward to playing all night and being knackered for work the next day

And a few prices of armour, shards etc

My router gave in during a hard VoG run last night, got it back up about 10 but only did a few bounties.

RE the commendations, how utterly pointless have they been. I've perhaps used 2 or 3.
I've been reading a lot of the reddit subforum (maybe too much!) and there have been some interesting bits of speculation.
In the reveal there was a glimpse of a gun identical to the fang (as in not one difference), except it was orange. There's speculation over whether weapon shaders are in (but why wouldn't they show/announce it), whether they've gotten even lazier with new weapon designs or it was simply a test version of HoWs with an old test weapon that they haven't removed.
Also, in some of the new strike info it shows a character holding a very heavy weapon, even though he has a rocket launcher on his back. The speculation is that this is a temporary relic type weapon that you use to destroy a Legendary Fallen Walker. It looks remarkably similar to the main gun from a regular fallen Walker.
