Not sure if you can do it via the companion appp on your smartphone?
The other way is to create a bungie.net ID, link it to your xbox one account. From there you can click on groups and search for "Pistonheads X1". Request to join. Once you have been selected then you can click on the Group and set it as your clan.
Once done the tag "Pistonheads X1" will appear on the little rectangle with your GT and level etc.

It might be a bit hard for the Raid :-( - but I'm sure several of us here could get you through the weekly nightfall and weekly heroic. You wouldn't have that much fun (one shotted and hard to damage enemies) but getting strange coins together to buy exotic armour or weapons helps your level.The big one is getting Vanguard level 2 and just being able to buy legendary gear. You can pop to 27/28 pretty quickly (24->27/28 is really only limited by how quickly you can get XP and ass shards)

Happy to be put on the database for any tougher Strikes though I'm probably not ready for the raid yet.
TheTrashLives has been with us when we opened the vault door on hard mode, and he's level 25. I do recall him dieing quite a lot though.
And that's basically the problem. It's not your ability to shoot stuff that's an issue, it's resisting damage. Dalzo is probably the best person that ask. He did the raid with us when he was level 26. He's very good at this game but I think it's safe for me to say that he was having a hard time staying alive.

Complete the Nightfall as soon as the weekly reset happens, then go grab as many bounties as you can, complete them and trade em all in at the same time, The Nightfall gives you 25% xp boost on everything including trading in completed bounties so you should be able to progress your vanguard level pretty darn quick.Happy to be put on the database for any tougher Strikes though I'm probably not ready for the raid yet.

Try get online with us, this weeks nightfall is a relative walk in the park for us in the higher levels and level 28 nightfall gives 500 vangaurd rep, the weekly gives 499.Happy to be put on the database for any tougher Strikes though I'm probably not ready for the raid yet.

It was murder, one hit from antheon was putting me down as well as supplicants, it wasn't patched at the time so I was being teleported everytime which was easier going on oracle duty. Sorry! borrowing abbreviations from neogaf...The key to 25+ is getting above vanguard level 2 and buying armour. They didn't balance the game very well so everyone tends to get to 24 with still a lot of vanguard rep to grind....hence the blank spot at 24/25.
I started solely aiming for vanguard rep and marks when I was 20/21 and still had to sit at 23 for awhile grinding up to level 2. I went up to 28 pretty quick then.
I've got myself to level 19, not really knowing what I'm doing but plodding on and making progress slowly.
I was 99% of the way through a raid with some good team mates and my homeplug decided to cut the net connection.
Completing this raid would have taken me to level 20 where lot's of goodies appear to be available, so I was obviously chuffed to get disconnected...

should say how I got the engram actually; I was playing crucible - control as the defensive titan. If you do your supercharge on the objective you become a real immovable object. Inside the bubble your shields recharge so quickly that you cant really take any damage from a single enemy, the only thing that seemed to kill me quickly was the offensive Titans superpower if they got inside the bubble. Even with crowds of 2-3 coming in hitting me I could still pretty much beat them back.
First game it took them by surprise but the second game they'd just wait outside and let me get the control point. Was pretty funny stood there just waving at each other.
