Wow! You are getting prepared. I've been reading/watching a lot of ToO stuff and it definitely looks like the best loot.

Suspect they are trying to siphon as many people as possible across to PvP to try and keep it going up until the next launch.

I'd like to get "reasonable" at PvP but I always have to spend what time I have levelling up.

Getting armour out of ToO looks vaguely plausible as I think you need to get to 5 3 which is only slightly better than average (in theory)

some good advice for trials -

Nades, nades, nades. Throw the st out of those suckers. Lightning, firebolt extended burn, and arc bolts.

The 2nd thing, don't be fair to anyone. Final round, truth rockets, invisibility. Use them all. When one person is killed off on their team, rush the st out of them.

If you have Lupis equipped only have one hunter do it.

Shoot crates as well if you spawn outside. Players are likely camping at the specific spots for head glitches.

Don't listen to people who say that thorns and last words aren't needed. Those fkers are essential in winning against sweaty kids. Farm the thorn bounty until you go into trials again. Play skirmish and get teamwork rolling. Titans should use weapons or smashes. Never blessing or armor.

Warlocks, just do what you do. I prefer Void over Sunsinger but that's only if I'm going against bladedancers.

Don't self res if there are 2-3 people around.

Never ever ever use a super if you think you are in trouble. Save it until the other team use theirs.

I can offer some more tips, just ask. Plus, I'm on my phone so excuse typos and terrible grammar.

with the replayability of PoE and the ToO loot system I can't help but think that Bungie are preparing us for the long haul, the big stretch up to Comet.

I may have to get involved soon, Is there a go to class?
Is the vex still any good for PvP? I've tried to use hand cannons for PvP in the past and preferred to rely on spray and pray.

Also, farmed for keys for about 5 hours yesterday.... no keys! But I've got enough Tokens to buy Varyk's inventory 4 times over! HoW is very good, much more content than TDB but I'm really not sure how much they tested the currency system before rollout, especially given the precarious amount of vault space.

Tip for those farming for keys; fill your consumable inventory and you don't pick up any more special synths. If you have one key in your inventory then any you get will come to you rather than go to the postmaster.

I also got the Fulcrum (new FWC hand cannon). It seems pretty good and I've had my first play at rolling perks but not quite had the roll I'm looking for yet.

I don't think there is a go to class, I do see a st load of hunters with their shotguns, then probably warlocks, titans seem to be the least represented of all the classes, BUT , I don't really see any benefit from any of them in normal pvp as armour and weapons ranks don't count.

Thorn, and vex absolutely wreak havoc most people use them along with choice of shotgun.

I have seen ,and tried it myself, people using the khostov though and getting a lot of kills.,

At the end of the day it's all down to what suits your play style and learning the most used routes so you know wheee to expect another player to be coming from!

I've been farming the passage keys across my 3 chars by doing the daily crucible, it normally only take about 3-5 mins per character and have had fun doing it whether I have won or lost..

Would be really good to get a fireteam together to have a practice on the 3v3 game modes so we can
Work out some strategies for ToO

I'm in.... I do have your flawless attempt at the back of my mind though where you let us all down at the jumping puzzle!

I might try to do the daily crucible challenges, then the next IB and then see how if feel for ToO.

Nightfall - The Devil's Lair
Epic - Heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers.
Nightfall - If all players die, your Fireteam is returned to Orbit.
Lightswitch - Minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage.
Angry - Minions of the Darkness won't flinch, even after massive damage.
Brawler – Guardian melee damage is increased by 300%

Weekly Heroic Strike -The Shadow Thief
Heroic - Enemies appear in greater numbers and are more aggressive.
Specialist – Special weapon damage is doubled.

PoE;
L32 is urrox solar burn
L34 is the vex boss with trickle
L35 is Skolas with arc burn

So last week's Skolas Ghorn strategy just went out the window!

Just done the 32 twice and the tactic for the floor is on fire is a shield with blessings which protects you all. Just need people to generate orbs :-)

Just all group together in the left corner and hammer everyone and everything. Took about 5 minutes.

We had a go in the trials, we got pummelled but after a while me tank and gav started to get into the swing of it and won a few rounds.

Let enemies come to you, much easier to be the defender than attacker
Once you have one of their players down move to their ghost so he can't be revived
Preaydths revenge is king.

We had tank camping round a corner while I sniped and lured them to him, gav would watch the flanks to stop them coming getting at us. It took a few games but it started to work

Great hand cannon. Had two drop in the last week. Has really good range as standard. Rolled mine with battle runner, armour piercing round and spray & play. Great to use.

Managed to get the Six Dregg Pride hand cannon last night from Variks. Again another good HC with range and stability. Also had the better perk roll of bonus damage against all Fallen enemies.

As much as I found ToO frustrating last night (I'm sure you could here it in my voice, sorry all) I may try and grind it out if it's a weekly thing. We did start to get a rhythm last night and with practice we'll only get better. I'm not bad at crucible when I'm in the swing of it, I monstered all 3 exotic bounties together in one sitting the last time I ventured in, but I find if you don't keep up the practice regularly you will always be disadvantaged. Same goes for Halo or other PvP really.

Sarah's turn for the pub tonight, so I should be on from half eight ish.
Up for nightfall/weekly and some PoE. Or raids frankly - I still need shards.

I doff my cap to Mr studel. We managed the nightfall as a pair and it actually felt pretty ok most of the time. Probably the pairs of heavily shielded captains gave us the most trouble at the start.

He was being a laggy bh last night, getting straight up after 1 hit etc, I thought they'd patched his buggyness?

My battery pack went flat just as Crota had the final sword up his backside so no chance to say good night.

I've got another pass for tonight, must get the weekly done.
