Glen/tank, did you get skolas finished off? Sorry I had to leave but it would probably have been better with another patience and time.
First trials taken part of. Finished 6 wins 3 losses. Not bad at all. Think I'll have a bash at Iron Banner this week too (now with etheric light you can buy at level 3 and 5).

Yes. Got a random in and it took us a few more wipes. We changed the strategy up slightly. We found that at the point that we had used up all of our special ammo his health was still around 20%, then we had to deal with mines and mobs. Came up with the idea of popping special synths to finish him off, but at staggered intervals. I used up half of my first ammo reserve then synthed, Glen went at 3/4's, last player at empty. Being out of sync meant that we could keep constant damage on Skolas and try to keep him stun locked. It worked quite well.
Glen did manage to get his first Elder Cipher, the other player got the arc damage scout rifle.
Yesterday made me realise that the PoE rewards really are utter garbage. Rolled 2 more Judgment Chances and got a void damage rocket launcher with clown cartridge and suppress a fallen captains abilities, and an arc sniper with dreg burn - WTF? Both completely useless.
I want to have a last run at it tonight with my warlock, just for the etheric light. It's the only reason to run PoE, the weapons are terrible.
I'll probably try and grind out Iron Banner this week just for the etheric light too.

The player makes it look good though, I'd usually be sniped to buggery down that hallway in a fraction of the charge time for it!
By all accounts the Iron Banner weapons are supposed to be decent, especially Efrideet's Spear and Felwinter's Lie.
I'm not in the same place I was for when Crota's End first came out. I'm not going to spend the best part of a weekend just trying to finish a boss off.
Looking at the stats on the Etheric'd LDR and it's actually pretty impressive (8.5k damage!) but it's magazine (4) and total ammo (18) let it down a little. I also bet you could get 6 P&T shots off in the time it takes the LDR to shoot 4 too.
Think he'll have void next week? Think Gally would work if it's no burn?

Only things doing void damage are servitors, I don't think it will be void but could be wrong (if it is, good job I ascended my Preadyths Revenge 
). I reckon it will be something like specialist & juggler, or airborne & grounded. Or even brawler & lightswitch. I think it's good that there is some proper tough end game content that can't be cheesed. Problem I think lvl35 Skolas has is that the rewards aren't nearly good enough for the effort. You should be at least guaranteed an elemental primary weapon the first time you drop him each week per character. Not just an incredibly slim chance of getting one. And 2 etheric light, not just one.

Trials finishes at Tuesday weekly reset - according to the website.
I'm flying tonight but might be on by 10.30 for a few late night games.
If anyone is still doing Trials can I hop on a team? I have a 3 win (one win from a boon, and one random disconnect win which counts as 2 due to another boon) and 2 losses card.
I'm going to grind IB when it comes out as that actually looks like my best bet at getting etheric light at the moment!
IF you've not done it before - don't forget to buy the rep buff whenever you play AND it increases a lot on the weekend - I think Sunday and Monday give double and 2.5x the rep compared to when you start playing on the Tuesday. A link here in case you haven't seen the numbers:-
