Thanks! I was a touch excited when I posted 
and mid crota fight.
It was a night of firsts for me:-
My first gulrot kill (whilst practically afk)
My first skolas kill
A full and enthusiastic teabagging from Glenda
Getting my first ghorn!!
Completing my year one emblem
And last but not least I managed to die less than Tank during a mission!

A massive thanks to everyone on here for all your help! Its been a lot of fun

Thanks chaps. According to destiny tracker I am at 420 hours...according to the app that tracks activities I am at 300 hours... So probably a relatively early drop in terms of games played!?
Simo - it dropped at the deathsinger. I spotted morphies and silver bullet and others were raiding so I just invited myself in cheesed the bridge and then took down the deathsinger.
I was so excited I forgot to record it, so I have a clip from about 10 seconds after it dropped of me playing really badly (as i couldnt focus!)/with nothing happening at all...
The crota raid was being really generous and consistent with weapons. I think all 6 of us dropped the abyss defiant, the oversoul edict, and possibly the fang. Didn't see any word of crota s.
There was also an ice breaker and 2 or 3 patience and times.
Tank - I'll give you that!

In that thread the poster had his thorn remote deleted by someone else... Within the thread there is a link to a post from a month ago where someone explains that there is a way to lock bounties on someone else's accounts... AND that this can lead on to the deletion of items.
Sounds like its pretty isolated so far, and can't see that there is a lot anyone can do...but thought I'd warn everyone here. May be best to avoid annoying people in PvP for awhile!

Good to see the Necrochasm getting a big buff (and No Land Beyond), but it doesn't seem to me that they've gone far enough with The Last Word or Thorn. Suppose time will tell.
Didn't expect Icebreaker to get a nerf - up from 5 seconds between shot recharge to 8. But I suppose Black Hammer was to be expected as it literally shreds bosses.
- sigh* just been reading it and then came here to post...this game..honestly...I just this last week got Thorn and the Ghorn...and now they're going to be nerfed
I expected thorn to go but didn't expect them to re-balance the whole weapon set.
At least shotguns only got a 10 percent debuff so they'll still be pretty effective.
The overall effect worries me a bit, as they're taking the stronger weapons and weakening them, and taking the weakest weapons and buffing them...probably to be average...but the overall effect will be to make the PvE stuff harder.
I dunno, I think the weapon load outs have become too stagnant and predictable.
In my case, I cant remember the last time I had any other exotic equipped in PvE other than Gjallahorn. They may as well not even exist. It would be nice to have a reason to change that up.
I also hope fusion rifles become competitive again. Again, can't remember the last time I used one in anger or thought I wish I had one equipped.
Quite interested to see how the hand cannon changes are going to work. At the moment they render scout rifles completely obsolete by having far too much range and accuracy. They need a nerf (and I'm a 99.99% hand cannon user).
When you have exactly the same load out for every single encounter in PvE (Fatebringer/Black Hammer/Gjallahorn) it's too predictable. Which is a shame when there are so many weapon combinations that you could have.
In fact I've been forcing myself to change up my load out for just for the sake of variety, but inevitably you still end up with a hand cannon/shotty or sniper/Gjallahorn.......

I've been out for a few weeks. Lots going on. I hope to jump back in at some point and run a PoE at 34 with some help.

Was chuffed you got a Ghorn (I still have not 
) but I think this nerf is welcome. The number of LFG posts that require GHorn's is ridiculous, and whilst it is certainly overpowered relative to everything else it would be nice for the Ghorn obsession to go away - it's a big help but far from a requirement for most encounters (especially with Hard Crota/VOG now not so hard now we're all 34's).It'll make my maxed out Truth seem a lot more competitive
