Had a Epic Crota Hard on Friday. Just the banter alone was amazing and peeing myself most of the way through it. A few beers helped.
Also Managed POE 34 over the weekend and for some reason it was rather easy. Had a mate who was helping point out useful tips and where to go. Just all seemed to click

Managed to get back on over the weekend having been offline for the last week or so.
Not many on last night so Glenda and myself 2-manned POE 34 and Crota. PoE wasn't as difficult as I expected, and Crota was very straight forward. We even built the bridge properly.

Sorry,I've been offline for a few days in deep dark kernow....
I'll hopefully be online a few evenings this week. Happy to jump in and lend an extra gun to whatever.

Ok gone back and read the comments 
at each expansion bungue have a hard job balancing new players coming in versus offering something for vets.
HoW allowed vets to upgrade exotic armour and gamble on engrams for new armour. It also allowed easy access to 're rolling to get the best perk combos.
You Could also obviously walk straight into 32 Poe and become level 33 straight away.
You'll get the same kinds of benefits in TTK. There won't be ascension so you won't also get the benefit of a complete/full arsenal but that's fine. It's a loot game so we need new loot to go after.
The guy that designed VoG has done the whole TTK experience so its going to be good. Lots of new and unknown stuff for the community to figure out.
Allegedly stuff can only be opened in certain ways etc. Lots of exploring and puzzles to solve.

I was on late last night after watching Oblivion...an ok film if slightly predictable...although I always feel slightly guilty giving Tom Cruise any money as he is as mad as a box of frogs...

After completing it I thought my "pocket infinity" bounty was bugged as it wasn't registering any nightfall kills...turns out I was meant to be using a fusion rifle....oops!

Not sure I like new greens being stronger than old legendaries...but hey ho....
You still have a light score - which is attached to gear (both weapons and armour) and content has a suggested "total light" value. IMHO I really don't think we're going to end up far off the old system...however it pretty much sounds like light will be a useful "score" of how good your stuff is. No-one has said whether the crazy large steps in damage given and received will be kept or just removed (and only quality/strength of gear will matter).
Ghosts have perks and also a light score of their own.
Not confirmed by Bungie but they're saying you can buy a "three of coins" with strange coins and it gives you a higher chance of an exotic at the next boss drop. Seems like a good way to get *some* value out of the large stockpiles of strange coins that some people have...

It's very easy to see the prices in other stores - right at the bottom of every page your country is listed in bold - click on it and change the default country to the one you want - everything you see will then be priced in that currency.
The "slightly" harder part is paying for it in that currency. Do do that you need a payment method, AND address, registered in that country.
In the old days it was easy - you could just put in a random US address and your UK credit card and it would all work - you could immediately buy stuff for 2/3 of the price.
It's a little harder now as they check that the credit card is registered to the country you are trying to buy from!
NOTE you don't have to use the credit card once you have it registered - you can buy Xbox live gift cards online and then deposit them into your new US account...you just can't setup a new US account if you only have a dollar-based gift card.
If your friend vaguely trusts you - get their address and credit card details to register a US account. Then buy a dollar gift card online and deposit it to your account, then buy stuff from the US store.
So in summary:-
1. Register a US billing account using a US address and US credit card
2. Buy dollar based gift card from Play asia http://www.play-asia.com/xbox-live-value-card-usd-...
3. Deposit credit into account
4. go to store.xbox.com - make sure you have chosen "United States" in the bottom left corner
5. Buy stuff cheaper
Nothing is region coded so US DLC works with a UK game and vice versa.
To date MS have been very open that nothing is region locked and won't be - Phil Spencer has said so.
Obviously there is a risk that they retrospectively go back and lock you out of what you bought, but the legalities and uproar of that would be pretty difficult to do. The most likely thing is that they introduce region locking for all new content at some stage....
I bought TTK yesterday for £27.20....
