Yeah was good, as strudel said you can take your own kit and join the tournaments all weekend if you like, or you can just visit for the day, play some of the new games about to be released, and watch some live stuff on the stages .Giant gaming festival. Was pretty cool day out, managed to play rock band 4, fifa16, Homefront, forza 6, they also had a retro room, with all sorts of old consoles ( sega saturns, mega drive, nes, snes, game cube)
They are moving to a bigger venue for the event in December, it's going back to be at Birmingham nec

What did you like the most in terms of the new stuff? Has the pre TTK patch come out yet? If so I'll have to download it ahead of release.
Original Homefront was a good game, I played it for a little bit, but as you say people dropped out quite rapidly and it died.
The new game, hmm I'm not too sure,The graphics looked good, but not anything mind blowingly new, the open worldliness of it seems like a cool idea but Im not sure if it's going to really benefit the game, also it felt like a poor mans call of duty to play, I did have high hopes but it so sure now.
My fave game was forza 6, ok it's a slightly posher looking forza 5 but the introduction of the weather systems make the racing a whole lot more exciting!
I'd totally recommend going to insomnia56 in December was a brill day out and my 5 year old son had a blast aswell.

2.0 patch is the 8th - with questification, new ghost, possibly new bounty slots, possibly collection machines and probably conversion of light level into XP level.
15th is new content - so dreadnought, story missions, new guns and armour etc.
?? - Raid.
Likelihood of me getting a day off based on when "a game" comes out - 0.
Will be worth getting on on the evening of the 8th in case there are new world events etc, plus check out what has changed in the tower. Maybe a mass-sharding if you trust the collection machines by then....plus a mass-storing if the vault space has increased.
I'm going to try and get on a lot on the 15th and 16th to go through the story etc. I'm torn between trying to rush through it to keep up with you guys, and looking around the mission levels to try and spot any secrets.
New stuff I've seen recently (in case it's not in the vids):-
Helm of st 14 confirmed to have a new year 2 version
Most exotics will change with shaders
Gameplay trailer has a giant hive-knight skull as a guardian equippable helmet
Gameplay trailer also shows a very odd/cool looking sniper carried by said-skull head.
Etheric light - currently converts to nothing - but keep it - they are trying to figure out what to do and may patch something in.
TTK was going in to final cert last week, and they don't know when on the 8th or the 15th each of the patches will go live - also depends on MS and Sony and others.

Popped on and see a mate on and went and had a blast on nightfall. took about 10 mins with just 2 of us. Arc and Solar this week
Managed to get all 3 done in about 40 mins. including the time it took to change characters and move weapons about. I have a second No land beyond. After getting my first last week on Crota. Amazing gun
