I might be online on Saturday but won't know for sure until the evening frown

If you have a LOT of spare strange coins it might be worth stocking up on each type of engram as xur sells them each week. Don't pop them but save them until you're 300 plus. A fair few of them should land at 310 then and you can use them as expensive infusion fodder....

Depends how much you want to spend on getting to 310!

Had a try for the first time against the Warpriest yesterday. really no more than a see how it works. We did well but only had a few goes at it and did not managed to get him down. Kept enraging .

but good fun. So slowly making my way through it. only 2 of the 6 playing had done it before.

And still struggling with the Ghost which is still at 287 frown

super good advice! It's what I did with the spindle to get all specials up to 300. There are two problems though, even at 300+ not every exotic turns into a 310 and strange coins seem much harder to come by. There does seem a good Mote farming method up on Reddit at the moment that will yield some strange coins too though.

I may have overdosed on Destiny over the weekend.

I was still only using the one character last week and finished the raid on Thursday night. Whilst working from home on Friday I ranked up my hunter (love the new subclass) and finished the raid by Saturday afternoon.

Not satisfied with my loot and with a 310 Obsidian Mind sat in my vault I started on the Warlock. Not raided with him yet but he's just got to 284 having finished the applicable dreadnaught bits.

After way too much Destiny in the last 4 days I stand at;
Titan 306
Hunter 303
Warlock 284

Two complete raids gave me a 309 ghost, a 303 pulse rifle, a 305 pulse rifle and 309 gauntlets. Not a great haul.

All three subclass missions are good but I think the sunbreaker is the most fun of the three and is easily the best for PvP(although the tether is so practical for PvE).

Touch of Malice is very specialist and seems a pretty average scout rifle in most situations. It just comes into it's own during the periods of the raid that give you invulnerability (doing more damage than the 310 Spindles and two of them can stagger Oryx). I've not killed myself with it yet!

Iron banner items are purchasable with legendary marks although most of the best drops will be end of match bonuses.

I have about 30 legendary marks...... better get farming....

Well done, but can I presume that this is with one common set of weapons? If not that's seriously impressive in the time scale.

Which brings me to my main point. I've spent some time levelling up my alts and haven't done too bad so far (titan @ 296, warlock @ 292), but it's becoming increasingly obvious that you just don't get enough resource materials and legendary marks for each character to have their own set of weapons now, unlike year one.

3 sets of infusing and upgrading has hammered my stock of weapon parts and leg. marks.

Think I'm going to have to have a few basic weapons on each character and do more swapping around in future. Which is a pain to be honest.

I've been switching some stuff around while I level but I theoretically could keep the Titan and Hunter above 300 and keep the warlock where he is, secondaries are the problem, my highest is 308 (1000 yard stare) and then they are all 300, not had a single secondary from the raid yet. I have 2 x 310 primaries and 2 x 307 Heavies. I'm not going to buy spindle to actually use until after they are patched (and then infuse it back up to 300).

I do tend to keep most of them on one character though, especially when raiding. I find I need the versatility and you can't not use ToM for the last two checkpoints. I need to download one of those profile apps again (got rid of them during the great PoE exodus).

Have you seen the mote farming post on reddit? It's a cracking supply of motes, glimmer, weapon and armour mats.

I struggled with marks but that's because I've broken my own rule and bought something rather than use them exclusively for infusing. I also ran out of 295+ blues for infusing for my Warlock, having used them all on the hunter.

You would be better off buying spare spindles now to be honest. All spindles in use in the game will be reduced to 290 light, and the kiosk version is going to be dropped to 280. This was confirmed by Cozmo on Reddit recently. Think the patch is happening tomorrow.

Better to infuse back up from 290 than 280.

I'm unsure what to do with my spindle. I have enough spare 300 weapons ready to infuse it back to 300, but I'm keen to get either my Stillpiercer or one of my 1000YS's up to 310 instead. I used my raid shotgun on my Stillpiercer already so that's at 304. I've also got the raid sniper @ 306 which I'm not too keen on. Also have a 307 Telesto and a 310 4th Horseman ready to use as well.

I've been back on Destiny since the Taken King came out. I'm just working my way through the new content levelling up towards the cap at the moment. Hopefully I'll be at Strike/Raid level soon enough.

Hi all, I've reached 288 Light and have difficulty getting any higher. So far I've finished TTK's story and unlocked the Court of Oryx. I've done a few rounds in it (Level 1) and everything I've got so far has fallen well short of my current gear. What activities do I need to do to get decent engrams so I can progress?

Hang around the court, spam the 3 of coin and grind those vanguard strikes.

I hope to give the raid my first go on Saturday.

Think it's the Raid next for me too. Am at 293 now and CoO and strikes aren't taking me any higher.

Coin - a fireteam and CoO may get you a little higher. I did about an hour of CoO with some randoms that were there and amongst a big haul of 265-280 engrams I got a couple that were over 290.

I think I could do wit hgetting in on a raid. However I've no idea how the multiplayer side of destiny works, I've always used events wit hthe Matchmaking facility before, but I don't think theyre going to cut it now.
