Sorry for double posting...if anyone is interested you can re-buy the iron banner buff and its gone up from 10% to 15% today.
I've been doing some maths, and @15% buff you need 55 match "wins" to get to level 3 and buy the 30 light boots. At 10 minutes per match that's just over 9 hours of game time...
Still too rich for me but might be tempting if you really need one thing to get to 30.
If the buff keeps going like that and goes up to 30% then you need 49 wins which is around 8 hours of play (@10 minutes per match).
This assumes that you never lose more than 5 games in a row so you are always earning XP.
I've also ignored bounties - if you managed to get 5 that knocks around an hour and a half off your game time so it would go from just over 9 to just under 8.

Very handy. I juggle between a maxed void fusion or icebreaker as my special when raiding. Got the raid done on hard tonight. Managed to get two helmets and the timebreaker sparrow all at the same checkpoint!!!
I've still got the atheon checkpoint if anyone wants a go tomorrow.

Yeah lets give that a go... then maybe go from the beginning on hard again to see if we can get past the Templar.?? Unless i get Gjhallahorn and a Helm from Atheon, then im done Got the raid done on hard tonight. Managed to get two helmets and the timebreaker sparrow all at the same checkpoint!!!

For those guys trying to level up try this...We can now carry 10 bounties at once, but only 5 vanguard bounties are released each day, If youre like me and don't get to play each day then this could be useful, at somepoint on your non gaming day, quickly fire up destiny, go to the tower and grab the 5 bounties for that day, then on your gaming day, grab the other 5 bounties.. if you can complete nightfall, do that first, then go complete your 10 bounties and trade them all in at the same time, depending on the bounties you should be able to get anywhere from 500 - 1000 vanguard rep, then with the 25% nightfall buff as well, you should be able to quickly get vanguard level up, but also any equipment that you need ranking up too.
After trading in the first couple of bounties, go check in your inventory if a weapon had ranked up, if it is and its now maxed, make sure you swap any other kit in that needs to be ranked!! Don't waste those valuable few bounties trying to rank up maxed out kit.

Another tip. If you have maxed out weaponry, equip something noddy that you were going to break down for parts. Even consider buying such a gun. Then turn in bounties, and level that weapon up. *Then* break it up for parts. Gives you 2-3 weapons parts rather than one.Mr E said:

The one thing I don't really need is weapon parts. I've hundreds.It's all about the shards for me and I'm still struggling with my 3-4 a day farming.

To amuse you, after the epic level 28 strike that was bloody hard I received nothing of real interest.It's all about the shards for me and I'm still struggling with my 3-4 a day farming.
I then went filament farming to level the armour up, shot a dreg in the face and picked up an engram that gave me a legendary shotgun (Judgement VI). Truly the random numbers are random.

Yeah i have well over 500 Parts!! cant see me running out.. Best to save the bounty, unless you can rank up armour etc, then i suppose adding the noddy weapons would be beneficial.Mr E said:

Shotguns in the crucible. I'm a terrible shot, so up close and personal is the only chance I have.Fusion rifle for PvE most of the time to be honest; end up reloading shotguns far too often.
What perks did you get on it? It's all about the perks.
I did some early morning bounty farming this morning...so have all the XP needed to level to 29...I just need some glimmer and some mats.
Actually I need some glimmer, 10 relic iron, and 5 ass shards...but I have a queens event hat, and vanguard marks to buy more armour to shard for those.
Fully levelled my Icebreaker - loving the new explosion animation - close to levelling my TDYK. Also working on my suros and swarm.

When I approached it I noticed another player trying to get to the same chest. He was having difficulty reaching it so I played the good guardian and waited for him.
Along comes player number 3 trying to get to the same chest, so this time we both waited.
Then along comes player number 4, so again we all waited further.
When everyone was ready we then proceeded to open the chest and I got ass energy from it
Who says I'm lucky?

Sorry about the last 20 minutes last night... the wife went to sleep next to me so was trying to keep the noise down.
Very happy with raid leg armour and gauntlets though, and with the two heavy drops. I now have epic weapons in all three categories though. A real dilemma.
Think I'll be busy upgrading what I have for a long time!
