TLW crucible renown step done, I started at 8pm, took a break at 9, restarted at 10:30 and eventually hit 100% at 02:20am. I was sandbagging heavily, giving my opponents a 15 second headstart so that I could race on clean track as being bumped and rolling over is the easiest way to die in this mode. Despite giving them so much of a headstart, I still finished my S class licence before reaching 100%. I just put put some music on and focused on that instead of the dull racing.
I'll probably have the "buckshot bruiser" step done soon, which is to get crucible or high level enemy kills so I'll be doing the special version of strike brothers at the weekend and looking to get the killshots on the bosses with a shotgun. I'll be recruiting help for that so that randoms don't steal my kills. It will likely be Saturday, so if anyone wants to help out let me know, alternatively if you're on my friends list see if I pop you a message. Looking forward to that exotic shotgun!

Was going to do it Friday as I have a day off.
Xur is selling some half decent gear today, Monte Carlo is on sale. I picked it up, it would be good for a bum rush Titan as it has a "causing damage with this weapon has a chance to fully recharge melee energy" perk, but other than that it's just a high DPS, high ROF rifle with unremarkable range and impact. It looks cool though.
EDIT: I just 3OC'd a 310 Dragons Breath from the Ultra Knight, me and wuddie have a matching pair now.

I think this is the first time in awhile that Xur has sold the PRIMARY engram in legacy form...so if you really want some exotics primaries then maybe gamble some coins. If you get something you'll then need to spend the marks as well to get the Year 2 version...
One other random thing from the patch - they have started selling the year 2 version of the ram helmet (not to be confused with stag) - possibly by acccident. They have nerfed the buff now but this was one of the best exotics for warlocks in year 1. I had/have nearly every exotic but used this as my default for the majority of the time.
I've not done too badly this weekend with the 3OCs either, my haul:

The Dragons Breath looks cool complete with glowing exhaust pipes but I think the "release trigger after firing to drop a solar damage napalm canister" is broken, the canister doesn't drop when you release the trigger, it seems to drop on impact from the warhead - you can see it fly out during the initial explosion and splash on the ground. It would be nice for area denial in PVP objective games, but heavy ammo is so scare in PVP as to be near useless. It also only holds one shot and the shell velocity is very slow, so even cabal can dodge it easily.
Mida Multitool in year 2 guise is a devastator. The exotic perks are rubbish (radar stays on while aiming down the sights and a "boost move speed and fires on a hair trigger" perk which is crap) yet it's such a good gun I think it will replace my 310 Bad Juju as my main primary. Very fast ROF, very stable, good impact and what appears to be the fastest reload in the game. A pinpoint death dealer.
I haven't used the Plan C yet, it looks like an ordinary fusion rifle until the Plan C perk is unlocked, which gives fast equip and very short charge time after equip, which could be interesting.
Baryonyx and me did the bond brothers strike at 290 for the Chaperone last night, those damn level 42 psions with their shields were a pain. We ended up matchmade with an Italian bloke who said he was a noob but was 300 light with a massive collection of exotics. Some noob then! We pulled it off with relative ease. I can't wait for my fancy new shotgun to arrive on Tuesday!

Plan C is a nice gun, statistically the best fusion rifle in the game as far as I can tell, but the exotic perk is crap (change weapons quickly and first shot after swapping fires nearly instantly), but much like the Mida Multitool has crap perks yet is still an incredibly strong weapon, Plan C is a very strong secondary choice - if only those exotic primaries were not so strong.
Truth is very powerful, high shell velocity, very aggressive tracking, fast reload, holds multiple rounds. The Dragons Breath has had a big buff, but Truth outdoes it in pretty much every field bar the unpredictable and often unreliable napalm canister perk.
Hereafter is an interesting one. The scope is very easy to use, it looks unique and sounds really nice with that purring energy coil noise. The exotic perk is decent too, precision kills causing a flash that blinds nearby enemies, but realistically it will be a trinket as my 320 Harrowed Defiance of Yasmin is better in almost every respect and doesn't block out my exotic slot. It may end up being used to boost my Chaperone to more useful power levels once it arrives on Tuesday.
So I've had a canny haul and I've still got a few 3OCs left to pop, here's hoping I get something with them.
I also completed the Chaperon bond brothers strike with Glenn and Royalpurplehead, twice as it happens, as the first time we did it the jetpack brother killed Glenn and at the same time detonated an explosive barrel and killed himself in an unusual boss suicide, denying Glenn the kill for the quest step. It wasn't too much effort and I learned an interesting cheese spot from it too, cheers lads.

That's about right for 3OC drops in normal use.My exotic spree this weekend continues with a second 310 Hereafter, decrypted from a purple engram dropped by a yellow bar centurion from the Oryx fight on heroic - the first exotic I've ever had from a purple engram. Still, it's infusion fodder so I'm not complaining.
I just beat Oryx on hard for the first time, joined a new team of 4 who'd been stuck for hours, took us maybe 7 or 8 goes to nail it. Again, it was a golden moment where everyone just knew their job and executed it perfectly, clear communication, proper timing, it was slick and greasy - so smooth in fact it looked like a video guide recording. The drops were crap, though I did get a 305 Smite of Merain, while I'd have preferred a Harrowed version this is a nice trinket. I got another Harrowed Qullim's Terminus at 316 to match the one I've already got, but this new one has "3 rapid kills heals a small amount of health and starts health regen" perk, which is better than Army of One, so this will be my new general use heavy. I'm still waiting for a bloody chest piece, my 297 Heart of the Praxic Fire is such a weak link now.
Another busy night with the PH squad, starting nearly 3.5 hours ago as Wuddie and me did the nightfall with Baryonyx joining to finish it off,followed by level 35 PoE then jumping into Crota's End to grab a raid chest, only to be joined by Irrotational and another (did we have 5 or 6? I can't remember) and deciding to carry on, blowing through that like it was nothing. I'd be surprised if our run took more than 25 minutes. It was Baryonyx's first raid, even though he somehow already had the achievement and to be fair, it wasn't really a true raid as we were so highly leveled we just blasted through everything with no real threat. I don't think Crota was meant to meet 310 Truth. 
Wrapping the evening up with a few sparrow races, I got a 307 race helmet and infused it into my raid helmet and by the looks of things I now need to get to rank 3 in the SRL so I can drop 310-320 helmets to boost my raid helmet and get me into 312 light. I'm about 3% off completing the 311 bar, so fking close.

It's ok but to easy to go from the back of the field to the front and then to the back again.
Had a little brat and fun in the court with Scar. Will be on a bit more but not many on when i'm about
