I think 4 self res warlocks did help us a lot, me especially!

Getting damaged when on the platforms felt really inconsistent. Sometimes I'd be ignored and have all the time in the world...other times I had oryx plus the taken cabal and eyes hitting me and wiping in seconds...and I was standing on the "off" side of the platform away from the add spawns.

LOL yeah it helped you when you kept getting yourself killed every 5 mins.. i'll have you know apart from the wipes i didn't get killed at all!! #titanmasterrace

Glen, i think we are planning to run the RAID from the start on Thursday if you want to jump in I'll help you finish the challenge off.

Wuddie, was it the seven headshots with the Imprecation that you were looking to do last night? It just needs to be 7 precision kills in one round, not in one life. The bounty is not clear. I also need to do it, so er, you do mine and I'll do yours?

Yeah its 7 headshots in 1 round, but..the gun is ste!! takes 3 headshots to kill..by the time you've hit the 2md one your dead..

the most i managed in a round was 5, and that was after hours of grinding and getting my aim in.

Now they have nerfed the Fireteam mates in a rumble game i dunno how i could do it.

If you want to jump in to a 2 man rumble or free for all we could find a hidden corner and knock them out (so to speak)

Yep, that will be the way to do it, 3 man fireteam into a rumble, agree on a meeting spot away from the action, aim to have one player complete it per game. I can get Baryonyx on to help with this at some point, he doesn't have Imprecation so it will only be me and you that need to get the kills.

Hey! that's not quite fair! :-)

I had one very unlucky death due to be focussed fired by everything in half the room whilst I had to stay on the plate...that was my only real one...

I had one where I double jumped straight at the ship and head-butted it....

and I had one where I shot myself to death with ToM in a bit of a panic to get the Shade down as you were too busy keeping yourself alive to hit the shade properly!

I also seem to remember that you spent the entire fight either inside a bubble, or inside an aura...

Do you want me to remind everyone of the flawless run where we were 2/3 of the way through and you managed to punch a wall and kill yourself!? ;-)

To add something constructive to the post - this is the chap we were talking about last night who has beaten Crota with rockband drums (twice), voice commands, a dance mat, and most impressively IMHO, completely blindfolded.

Another good night with Irrotational, two hours of racing for a single 316 bond and a load of crappy helmets. That said, I did help Irrotational get his S class SRL licence and I got one of the new SRL sparrows as a nightfall reward so it wasn't a total waste.

Baryonyx is currently hitting the wall at 296 light, having not done Kings Fall beyond the totems. I think one run through Warpriest on hard would be enough to get him over 300 light so he could start decrypting exotics at 310 and get his character moving again. If any of you guys want to help out it would be much appreciated, maybe tomorrow evening if anyone is free? For us experienced raiders I think it would be a very casual affair to blast through Warpriest and possibly even Golgoroth to get Baryonyx on his way. I'm going out for a cigar with him tomorrow so I'll be running through the strategies, it would be good to help another PHer out.

And since we're celebrating Christmas, I might even look up something other than a Gurkha Royal Challenge or a CAO Brazilia...although they are both great 'go to' cigars. As for the pipe tobacco, maybe Connoisseur's Choice, Caribbean Coconut or maybe a wildcard.

I'm giving up on that Warzone achievement on Halo 4. There are currently four Warzone maps in play, three of which were there when the game was released. That only further damages my chances of getting the right map, and then getting a win. Too much of a crap shoot, nothing to do with my skill overall, and so not worth my time.

I got the Arc sparrow as my random drop - it's awesome! Jet black with electricity arcing between the blades.

Solo SRL was pretty painful but the races went by a lot quicker chatting to people.

With another dose of bounties I should be able to get close to rank 3 soon. Then I'm assuming 320 helmets will drop like confetti!

IIRC, if you've got an upgraded SRL bond you'll need to finish 6 races to rank up.

Me and Baryonyx will be on from 10ish tonight, anyone who wants to help carry him through hard Warpriest please give me a shout. We'll LFG a team if need be but it's easier to find understanding players in people you've played with previously. He isn't st, he just needs a nudge to get him through the glass ceiling of 300 light.

Baryonyx, you should be caning the SRL too, getting to rank 2 doesn't take a huge effort and you'll start getting 300-310 helmets and bonds which you can infuse into your combat kit. If the raid doesn't come off tonight, focus hard on that tomorrow, you'll break 300 in no time. Hell, even if the raid is successful do the SRL anyway. We can start tonight and get your first bounties ticked off.

Thanks to Lew and TheTrash for helping out, we managed to carry Baryonyx to the daughters in the end and packed it in there. We 4-manned the relics at the start, got three of us through the Portico jump puzzle in one go and then had 2 Americans join us from LFG, one of whom was very strange. Warpriest was a little tricky but we got there in the end, Golgoroth seemed easy in comparison. Rather annoyingly, the plan to get Baryonyx over 300 light worked, as he got a 312 harrowed chestpiece and a 312 ghostshell - the number of times I've done that fking raid, I've not had a shell above 305 and I've never had even a regular chestpiece, I'm still using a sodding 297 exotic piece. Well, I'm going on the tilt this weekend and dumping my strange coins, I'll be grinding exotics until I'm broke. If I got a 310 Heart of the Praxic Fire I think I'd pass out with excitement.

Yes, I am very grateful to all the help I had and for the advice. In particular, the Golgoroth fight seemed as smooth as owt. It was a real crapshoot when I played with some Americans from the LFG. I'm a talentless jumper, so it was nice of the lads to wait for me to get to the chest past the stone cocks.
