What a top night of raiding. Typical luck for Glenn, as soon as he left we walked the totems, did the warpriest challenge twice (that Transient Nova lad disconnected just as the boss died, so we redid it with our alternate characters), did Golgoroth on the second go, daughters on the fourth of fifth and were on the cusp of beating Oryx, were it not that humourless yank t
t MLGdilldoG (did he realise the his name looked like MLG-dildo-G?) who dropped out after a few silly wipes. May your next raid parties be full of squeaky little kids and hopeless players.
I got some decent loot tonight though.

I'm getting it. I'm waiting for Amazon to release the price for the season pass edition, I'll probably buy the hard copy though I have been tempted by the download tile on the Xbox home screen. It'll probably be cheaper from Amazon.The wheels have well and truly come off the Destiny servers tonight, it looks like they're back up now but no one is on and it's still flaky as hell. I was the only person in the tower earlier, stayed there for a good 10 minutes and didn't see another soul, haven't seen that in a while.
I'll be getting The Division, I think it will make a good bit of filler for a while. I don't think it usurp Destiny in the long run, but I'd be quite keen to get on the strike / raid content they're planning with the friends I've made through Destiny. Once we've peddled that to death we'll be ready for Destiny 2 and the grind starts again.
Destiny is nearing the end of it's life cycle in terms of content, they've said there is going to be one more big update for the game which I think (hope) will be a few new strikes and the old stuff revamped with higher light levels. I was reading an article today about year 1 weapons going up to year 2 and that mentioned the HoW exotics as dead certs for getting year 2 versions, as they were released so close to the Taken King they never had their moment to shine, quickly becoming obsolete. In the same article is said Gjallarhorn would come back, but not before year 3 and with massive nerfs to balance it. As we talked about in the party last night, I think as Destiny 2 draws nearer - and it's still a long way off I think, they will unlock more and more content, care less about "balance" and just let players sandbox the game. All the guns, all the content beefed up to challenge us endgamers.

How did the raid go tonight?
I got my exotic solar sword, the level 42 sunless cell was trivial, the "kill Alak-Hul within 30 seconds of the warden knight" was a piece of piss too. Everything has been a total ballache since Tuesday though, they've fked the servers up royally with this last update.
