Destiny (Xbox One)

I would look to google for help, I've not heard of a bug like that.
I had a go at Crimson Doubles last night, its fking dire but luckily you can suicide your way to losing 25 matches very quickly and that will complete the bounty that can drop the 320 shells.
Apparently there is a big light cap increase coming anyway, so its not worth slogging your guts out for the shell.

I wasn't alone - but finally fixed it. Had to transfer everything to an external drive and factory reset the console!I had a go at Crimson Doubles last night, its fking dire but luckily you can suicide your way to losing 25 matches very quickly and that will complete the bounty that can drop the 320 shells.

Wow! That's a serious fix!
I played doubles and quite enjoyed it, lost a few but also won a few against fairly average teams.
NOTE, the rewards have been updated. 7 completed legit matches will get you a 320 ghost delivered after the event is over...only one per account though so don't bother doing 7 on 3 chars.
I also got my probably one and only bulletproof medal..neither me or my team mate died in all 5 rounds of a match. Felt pretty good!

I think we clocked 6 or 7 matches the other night before discovering the suicide exploit. I'll toss a few in on my last character to be sure to scoop that loot. There is no point in playing it properly (other than to log the 7 matches for a shell, which Bungle had not disclosed was the case at the start of the event), we're absolutely bang average PVPers so why struggle? Lew was jumping off the edge of the map for about 2 hours solid last night, he'll be devastated once he hears Bungle has implemented a guaranteed method to a 320 shell.

What's the difference between a raid and strike.
Just tried Omnigul on the vanguard strikes and quit eventually. Was just not working.
Strikes are short missions culminating in a boss fight completed with 3 man teams, where you can jump into a queue and get matchmade with other players. Raids are long missions with puzzle areas, multiple boss fights etc, these are 6 men per team, no matchmaking, you need to have friends or use one of the Destiny LFG websites. Just tried Omnigul on the vanguard strikes and quit eventually. Was just not working.
Just spent a little while with Grunt on Crimson Doubles to qualify for my guaranteed 320 shell, we played 10 games and won 9 of them, I must admit to cheating a bit by using the Universal Remote / sniper combo which was absolutely wrecking people.

Omnigul is one of the tougher strikes I think, relative to your light level. The boss fight at the end is practically a DPS check to see if you can get through the add and shields to damage the thing. Easy once you're levelled and playing with a good team. Everyone can have the same weapons so its not really cheating
Wonder how many people will be playing crimson doubles tonight!?
I suppose. Very few seemed to have an answer for the Universal Remote though, not least because it can get headshots well beyond traditional shotgun ranges - much like the Chaperone should have been able to, but can't. Wonder how many people will be playing crimson doubles tonight!?
I definitely agree on Omnigul being one of the tougher strikes, even with 315+ characters you are pretty much forced to sit in the box room and pop out to super / heavy Omnigul then hide again, there's just way too much heat in the room to run and gun it.
The omnigul strike was probably a troll move by bungie.
It came with the first expansion, and players and bungie had complained that too many strikes and missions involved hanging back and sniping enemies or finding a cheese spot to camp and kill stuff from safety. E.g. The cliff top in the Venus strike.
So I think bungie deliberately made a strike where you can only do that.
I've never seen anyone run and gun in the omnigul room, and I can't believe bungie thought it would be possible.
They also make TDB with a team of around 10 people in 3 months so they couldn't do a lot of testing on "fun" layouts... Just a room with th a boss and a load of enemies to make it hard.

Hey mastodon, did Xbox live go down for you aswell, all friends appearing offline!
Yeah, I lost comms with you lads, tried to reset my net and when it came back online all my friends are offline and Destiny is displaying me as having no friends on. Downdetector has just lit up with loads of complaints that XBL has gone tits up in the UK in the past 15 minutes. Good thing we got those bounties done when we had the chance!JDuck said:
Hard mode raid tonight from 8 anyone?
Hey JDuck - quite a few of the current regulars don't really read/post on here. Probably worth sending them an Xbox message when you're/they're online.OT - I saw this the other day and thought it was quite good - a heat map of when you played Destiny. Note it doesn't say loading or anything whil it processes data so it will just sit on a white screen for awhile and then pop up your results.
