went 7-1 twice last night...
We keep getting to 5 wins real easy, then game 6 we get matched up with a bunch of sweaties and get spanked... then we well have another couple of matches against rubbish teams.. then the Sweaties appear again!!
I am going to get there carried or not before the division hits.!!

Destiny was such a slog last night. But finally managed to the Oryx challenge done on my Titan.
This weekend's haul included:
- 310 boots for my warlock
- 310 pulse rifle
- 310 hand cannon (infused into my Hung Jury)
- 311 titan chest
- 312 boots – infused into my hunter boots
- 317 HMG
- 310 Touch of Malice
- 320 auto rifle
- Legendary ship

I'm still playing, we all are actually. Iron Banner should be good this time around, using rift last time around was a major blunder and I'm sure the participation figures reflect that. I'll be doing all of my characters up to rank 5.
With regards to PVE, we still run the nightfalls on Tuesday night and then the hard raid for the challenge mode. It's become so laughably easy for us now, but to that end we've also largely lost the will to carry less experienced or grateful players, since it's so much easier for us to get to Oryx, swap through all of our characters to get the checkpoints then rattle through Oryx like it's nothing.
I'm interested to see what the PVE update is, supposedly it's going to add "challenge and longevity", which is handy as we've run out of challenge now. Hopefully it will be all the old strikes and raids with the enemy levels whacked up to 42. I'm still waiting on the year 2 weapon unlocks for older kit, in particular I'll be making a 320 year 2 Queenbreaker's Bow as soon the option becomes available. Other than that, all I really want is an Armamentarium, I dropped a Helm of Saint-14 and an Insurmountable Skullfort the other day. Getting Ascendant Plane unlocked on my titan and warlock would be nice, but it's all down to luck and RNG whether or not that happens.

Hi. So I've made level 40 completed the main quest line and getting a little bored of all the side missions.
I'm assuming the raids are the thing to be doing now? Waiting for some mates to get to level 40. Is iT in the raids that I will get the better gear? What are the other options before I'm ready for that. My light level is 289.

Grrrrr trials is soooo frustrating!!!
Got to 8-0 last night, pretty much smashed everybody in the way, still have our mercy boon left!!! Woooo lighthouse here I come!!!
Nope!!! Here come two of the best teams o have ever seen in trials, deadly accurate and as aggressive as a Rottweiler , lost the next two games to go 8-1

You can get 300+ gear from King's Fall (the current raid), Trials of Osiris gold bounties, Nightfall post-game rewards and decrypting exotic engrams once your light level is over 300 - they'll decrypt at 310. To get 310+ gear you'll need to do Kings Fall on hard mode, or win 9 games without a loss in Trials of Osiris. If you're 289 you're not really ready for the raid yet, ideally you want to be as close to 300 as you can get, but you can probably get by on normal if the rest of the team are decent. You'll need to play conservatively and avoid attracting attention, which might make some sections a bit tough. In the mean time, you should try and get a Black Spindle, or a Sleeper Simulant. Buy the 1000 Yard Stare sniper rifle from the vendor in the hanger on the tower and infuse it as strong as you can get it, pairing this up with Sleeper Simulant will really help you to get damage on the raid bosses if you don't have a Black Spindle. Do the quest for Eris Morn called "Hunger Pangs" or "The Old Hunger", you'll get a step where you have to collect 45 calcified fragments. Get that done and you'll get a step to get 3 items from the raid, have that step ready to go before you start the raid as beating the bosses along the way will get you the items for the quest, which you'll need to get the important "Touch of Malice" weapon. If you really want to pull your weight at the end of a raid, particular on hard mode, you'll need one these.
As everyone seemed busy with Iron Banana last night I found a random group for hard mode. We smashed through the raid up until the Daughters, when Xbox live started kicking people from the fireteam although we were all still connected to the party.
Once we all reconnected we downed the daughters and oryx on the second go.
Impressive loot haul too as I am now 317 (almost 318). I got:
• 315 shotgun
• 311 fusion rifle
• 320 heavy machine gun
• 316 shell
• 316 helm
• 316 chest
• 320 titan mark
• 320 artefact (which I infused on my hunter)

To be honest you could get carried through a hard raid up to the last third. If you can't get a group here, then reddit/fireteams is quite a good place to pick up a group.

Pick up the daily bounties and play when you can. You gain bonus reputation once you have the specific emblems and shaders as well. There is also a buff that increases a lot over the course of the week so you gain more and more reputation through the week. Games and bounties on Sunday are worth double what they were yesterday.
You can use a 3 of coins every match and you may get an exotic engram after every match completion. Save those until you're above 300 and they will decrypt at 310.

I'll just double post as no-one else is.
I'm rank 3.5 on one char and just over rank 3 on the others...but I am basically at rank 5 on all 3 as I have two weekly bounties on each one. I need one bounty/win on the highest char, and I think one win on my hunter to finish a weekly bounty, and that's it.
I just have to wait until Monday to turn in the bounties :-)
I might be on tonight in which case I'll just max one char as soon as I can.

I'm nearly at 4 on my warlock, I'm 2.something on my titan and haven't started my hunter yet. I'm going to hit rank 4 with the warlock tonight then get my titan to the same and if I have the willpower I'll do my hunter to. Then, come Monday I'm going to pop bounties with the 150% buff to hit rank 5, preserving as many weeklies as possibly for next time round.
Iron Banner hasn't been so much fun this time around, the clash game makes it less team-focused and consequently strong strategy with the team is harder / less important than just shooting quickly and accurately.
