Finished the nightfall last night thanks to innocent who had got to the end was on the boss when his fire team fell apart me and gav jumped in. After many tries and fails they both had to go so got 2 randoms in and finished it on 3rd try and they were both light level 333 which is well below but hey had high arc weapons which helps. Did attempt it on my own till then and managed to get him down to a fraction of health and the vandals came out and it was too much then lol

I have my Titan up to around 350 and my Hunter to 340. I've done a few strikes, the new court thing and the story on the Titan so up for anything if you see me online. Just give me a shout

I'm planning another blind run from 9 tonight - carrying on from where I got to the other night. Without too many spoilers its after a big jump! Not sure how far we will get but going to have fun trying.

The100 link for it is here...doing this because I wont be on earlier to try and get in a run with the regulars.

Getting frustrated with this already -

1, Strikes are not tracking for the Book
2, Done 20-30 strikes so far with no keys dropping - no chest loot.
3, SIVA offerings are not dropping so no access to the forge
4, NO ONE in the forge (think because of above) so cant even piggy back
5, Whats the point of offering bounties when you cant get the materials needed to complete them.

GRRRRRRRR - bring on BF1...

Mr E - I'd say 350 for the start of the raid, really need to be 360+ probably 370 to do the final boss.

In my two raiding sessions I got through to the final boss, starting at 357 light and ending at around 364, with (good) randoms from the100.io.

I think a team of really good players could beat the final boss at 360 but you'd need a weapons of light bubble and tether (and a lot of crit-spot snipes) to do enough damage.

Innocent:-

1. Sorry fella - it's only normal strikes that count for that bounty, heroic ones do not.
2. I've not seen a single strike key since i got the quest one - I assume they are bugged/broken
3. You can only hold one and you can no longer transfer them using the app as people were using the app to create duplicate offerings. So if you have one transfer it manually and you should get another to drop relatively quickly
4. Yeah this is pretty bad :-( the only tip is to walk slowly into the forge so that it gives matchmaking enough time to find an instance with other people in it and load you in. We should be able to get there in groups of 6 by loading the raid and back tracking but haven't tried this yet.

This is what I don't get, the book states the SIVA playlist - yet either on the front screen or the strike playlist both say heroic.... Nothing like a user friendly interface to really get you hyped

Wait I am confused.... what strikes do I hit then??

On the playlist I have a choice of two Siva Heroic....and the blooming nightfall, neither of which gives me score in my book.

Do I need to just directly access normal strikes? Because I am sure it is to do with the Siva...I even ran wretched eye again and that didnt count so what the hell does!

If you go into the vanguard "circle" top right there is a "normal" SIVA strike list. If you run those then they count, they will be 320 light strikes so only 1 or 2 of them will drop loot up to 365 (which is probably a bug).

They're only really useful for players who are grinding up through 300-340 light. For higher-light players, I think completing that item in the book is more of a "background" task to pick off at some point if/when you're bored or you really want the XP to level up in the book.

It's worth noting that legendary engrams (even those dropped in the Raid) will only go up to 365. The only way to get loot between 365 and 385 is:-

Strike specific loot (from the chests with the keys)
"Proper" Raid drops (not engrams)
Exotic engrams
Crucible "Proper" drops
Possibly "Proper" drops in Archons Forge (not engrams).
Faction packages - so make sure you're always getting as much rep as possible
Edit - I'd say 2/3rds of the Raid is fine (but tough) at 360-365 so there's a fair chance there to get drops. There are 4 chests that can drop exotics (roughly one exotic per 6 people at each chest so roughly a 1 in 6 chance) plus loot from each boss plus there are "extra" chests that can be opened with a key and give a guaranteed drop of "something".

I was pretty lucky plus I opened 2 extra chests, and in total I got 3 exotics, 2 raid guns, two pieces of raid armour and a ghost...by doing 3/4 of the raid.

Did you finish the raid? I've gotten to the final stage of the final boss. I was really impressed with the siege engine bit.

Sadly, my loot wasn't as good. I managed to get the fusion rifle twice and the chest piece twice, and a 371 ghost (probably the only good drop).

I'm currently sat at;

Titan 370
Hunter 368
Warlock 367

I'm not really doing much with the Hunter and Warlock though other than bounties.

Also, if you want high level artifact drops (which now seem pretty rare) then ranking up Eris got me a 372 artifact (by accident really, farming Court of Oryx engrams for wormspore and it ticked over a level).

Certainly, post 365, the only way to get any higher seems to be raid drops, exotics, strike specific loot and rep packs.

I got to the same place as you - we had already had a couple of replacements in the raid group and then I got babooned/weasled so everyone called it a night. We didn't look like we were going to crack it without another hour or more at it. Don't want to spoiler it but the mechanics mean that everyone has to be on their toes, and able to move positions at the drop of a hat.

My main char is 367, I haven't done it yet because I dont want to spend the time decrypting and infusing but I have enough spare legendary engrams to take my other two chars straight to 365.

In terms of drops, Reddit is a great place for information. They have made a table of what loot drops from what strikes, so depending on where your light is weakest you can deliberately open a chest on a strike that matches (e.g. Sepiks perfected will only drop a warlock class item, so do that if your bond is low light).

EDIT - for reference the link is here

https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/5...

Eris rank up packages are confirmed as the best place for artifacts - she can only give out class items or artifacts, and is the only rank up package that can give one. Only other place is a lucky "conversion" from an engram decryption (and I'm not sure if these can go past 365). So weirdly, CoO might get popular again.

Spoilers on the Death Zambonie
I really liked this section - the first part the best. From the videos I really thought it was a chase sequence, so we all came out from under the machine and ran like mad to the far end....then got confused that it didn't move at all. We stood at the other end for awhile and milled about. Then someone went back to investigate and set it off. We immediately got swamped with adds, and a lot of confusion, we tried hiding under the machine and all sorts!

Someone noticed the special ammo, and tried shooting the machine (which I thought would be pointless as it is so massive) and then we found the weak spot. I was super excited to find out we actually got to ride on the machine and ram it into a massive wall.

I ran the raid tonight with a few mates and a few Americans, it was great fun. SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVE NOT done the raid.

I thought the entrance to the raid was great fun, gathering the voltage and throwing it at Vosik. It was frantic, fast and there was loads of action. The next area with the proper fight with Vosik was cool too, I got the raid fusion rifle and a few other bits here, as well as a Nemesis Star exotic machine gun, which is a total monster btw.

The siege engine section was fun too, we got stuck while moving the engine parts but once we swapped over to swords we wrecked the Fallen captains and very quickly wrapped that section up.

The journey down through the SIVA complex to fight Meksis was truly amazing. That last bit where you see the giant SIVA pyramid in that gargantuan cavern was an absolutely mind-blowing moment. Probably the only thing I've seen in a videogame which was more impressive was the first glimpse of Irithyll in Dark Souls 3.

We got through the first phase of the Meksis fight pretty quickly, that was good fun. I recall having the raid rocket launcher at this point, which I dumped into my Gjallarhorn to boost it up. We didn't make it through Meksis at this point, but we came close a few times. Where we were falling down was the transitions when two empowered players ended up on the same side. We were struggling with DPS too, in the end we cracked the stunning phase, we just needed to sort out using the rocket launchers effectively during the DPS phases. I was probably a bit underleveled too at 365 light, I was not able to put a huge amount of damage on Meksis. Still, we were refining it and I think if we'd had another half an hour and were fresher, we'd have done it. As it was, tired from a full day at work and the gym, I didn't mind jacking it in.

You've probably all seen the Outbreak Prime now too, I actually saw someone carrying it in the tower this evening, it's amazing that they managed to get it so quickly once the strategies became public knowledge. The server room section to access monitor #4 looks like a major ball ache, but I'm committed to getting one now. I will have it.

It is nice being back Remal.

I'll take you through the raid at some point.

There was a hotfix through the night, a few adjustments to strike drops and much improved how the Forge works.
