There seems to be a few strats for Templar....not sure there is an obvious winner yet.
"medium cheese"
There's a video where the team uses Area of effect grenades at the start to move templar a few feet. Directly away from the relic and towards where people jump down. This means he is blocked from the left hand teleport spot and can't shoot the person who is blocking his spawn here.
All they have to do is crouch and just sit there for the fight.
The whole test of the team is camped in titan bubbles at the right hand teleport spot, just dealing with right hand side adds and boss DPS.

"Solo left"
A hunter with invisi-perks can crouch, go invis and cover the left teleport. They have the relic bubble for backup if invisi runs out.
Again rest of team is camped on right hand side.
I think any class *can* do it if they get the timing absolutely spot on. You leave the teleport zone alone for a couple of seconds and then jump in and the relic bubble will last just long enough.
"Busy relic holder"
This is the one we're trying last night - the relic holder jumps between the teleport spots. This puts a lot of pressure on them IMHO, but if they can do it, makes it easy for the rest of the team.
In this scenario the rest of the team stays in the landing area at the start, which gives much more distance from the adds and lets them have definite cover they can pop in and out of rather than being surrounded.
The hard parts in this are trying to keep the relic holder alive as they move from spot to spot, and also the timing. Too early in a blocking zone and their bubble will run out, too late and the templar teleports.

I went back on after I had done the usual weekly jobs (nightfall, crucible etc)
We attempted about 5 different strats and could get none of them to work.... the most successful attempt we had was with the relic holder jumping between the teleport zones and everyone else doing adds and damage.
we managed to get him down to about 33% on a couple of occasions, but the ADDS get so intense and so many of them that we had to stop dealing damage to the Templar just to deal with the adds... this then meant that the relic holder couldn't stay alive anymore as he was being targeted by the Templar constantly.
we also attempted to do it without the challenge and failed miserably... not getting anywhere close to taking him down.!
It definitely needs a lot more co-ordination and skill than original I think!!.

Turns out a working strategy is:-
Relic holder hides on the left, near where people jump down. When the Templar is porting to their spot they wait 3-4 seconds and then leap up onto the rock, cleanse/block and then run back and hide again. If it's working they should have a pretty boring time not getting shot by adds. Key is the 3-4 second wait so that they don't run out of cleanse before the teleport happens.
The other 5 camp around the right hand block spot. One person is designated blocker and just hides behind the wall whenever needed. They and the other 4 kill and super the goblins and minotaurs like crazy. Whenever someone isn't about to die, and they have heavy ammo, they lob some Gally's at the boss.
Everyone generally stays alive until the boss gets killed.
I think myself and Scarbrows were almost 100% on add duty, and everyone else was probably 90% adds and 10% boss. Like a lot of the boss fights in Destiny it really boils down to timing, positioning and add control. Actually shooting the boss is a spare time hobby to be done in the background.
I don't think anyone got fatebringer though :-(

I'm seriously impressed you got that done! I might do it.... But I'm also quite annoyed that that I've actually completed it already but they're making me do it all again.
Edit.g. i have done kings fall and rath of the machine...I've done all the hunter titan and crucible page but i have to do them again
The main thing i want is the raid emblem from the raid page. I need to complete the other 2 raids and kill the Gorgons...*sigh*

Ill be on tonight I still have loads to do and collect. I still need to complete kings fall on hard mode and the new raid on normal and hard. I want the new fate bringer and icebreaker, so will be playing a lot more now if any of you need a hand with anything or need a human shield let me know lol. Currently at 386 light finding it hard to get up to 400 now everything keeps dropping around 385 any tips anyone?
