Do you think your lack of face to face social skills and knowledge of how to cope in real life is due to you spending too much time in front of a screen, or were you like this before being a hermit?
Do you think that switching off your electric devices for long periods of time and getting out into the real world would benefit you or would you prefer not to and are happier doing what you do now?
Do fk off with your media fed bullst.Do you think that switching off your electric devices for long periods of time and getting out into the real world would benefit you or would you prefer not to and are happier doing what you do now?

I've had similar happen to me. Best friends with a guy for years. He was in our social group and we all went on holiday together, spoke regularly etc. One day he rings me as normal, and I was a bit busy, so I said I'd call him back in 10 mins. Tried to call back, but no answer. Haven't spoken to him since! This was approaching 4 years ago now. Tried texting, e-mailing etc.
It gets even stranger though, as he deleted his Facebook, changed his number etc. It was driving me crazy not knowing what had happened. So I messaged a few of our mutual friends through Facebook. And it turns out they were going through the same thing! He as good as vanished off the face of the earth! Nobody has spoken to him, and it still confuses me to this day!

I think the other bloke is right..As is boobles.
Nope, don't know either - have loved this thread though. Just a gamer bored of the whole 'gaming is sad' brigade.I think the other bloke is right..As is boobles.
Been a massive gamer - coincidently since Halo actually - doesn't affect my social life, working life, sex life, golf handicap or anything else. Does make me pity those that believe it does - they must have something missing in their own lives.

like spending quality time with the family rather than sitting playing computer games all night. Well my Dad is dead, when he was about I still went to football every week with him and played golf whenever I could.I see my mum, brothers and sisters more than once a week. Visit my only remaining grandparent fortnightly and am shortly off to Australia to visit my uncle and his family.
So don't be concerned, my life is fine, you must be missing something in yours to feel the need to judge others.

I must be missing so much in my life that I don't feel the need to justify it to strangers. I see my mum, brothers and sisters more than once a week. Visit my only remaining grandparent fortnightly and am shortly off to Australia to visit my uncle and his family.
