How is he mental? He just sounds like a nice guy, and a good host who has tried to be hospitable to a friend.

Adults who play video games meeting other adults from the internet who also play video games. I think it's fair to say this was always gonna end weird.

We met and he is proper mental as proven by this thread. I'd only met him for three days, he's acting like I'm a girlfriend who just dumped him. 10 attempts to ring me, an email, fk loads of text messages one including I'm waiting outside your motel room until you come out(he wasn't when I left). Willl be glad when there's an ocean between us!

I could go into the reasons, but unlike the OP I'm not an attention we who created a thread in the video games section of a car forum to try and manipulate me into giving him an answer.
he wanted to play wheres wallys willy?

Sounds like thetrash for whatever reason was a bit spooked by the op, and whilst it seems like there could have been a nicer way to put it, he's still well within his rights to keep clear. I also think that the original post is something that you may speak about in the pub with your mates, but going on a public forum knowing the other person is on here too is a bit below the belt (no pun intended).

The mistake here is that when you get "dude, don't message me again", but then go on to make further phone calls and texts asking what the problem was...well...errm....

"Don't message me again" means just that. Maybe, in a long term relationship it might be different, but not with someone you just met for a couple of days from the internet...forget it and move on...

This.

The full thread makes me wonder if TheTrash is a bit mental. I've absolutely no doubt on whether PolarBert is a bit mental though.

But not having the balls to even tell the guy what he did wrong, how do you explain that? Is OP supposed to guess what he did to offend thetrash?

Doesn't matter.

Whilst it would be polite to do so, you should still heed the request. Don't message me again = do not message the person again.
It's not like it's some long standing friendship going back years. there's no entitlement. Met for a few days > didn't work out > move on.

Not doing so is slightly creepy and freaky, frankly.

Well at least we know thetrash is manly enough to ride a motorbike. My money is on Polarbear making a ham fisted attempt at a pass, and getting all mental when our man trash rejected him and took his wife for a ride instead.

Women go for rough men who ride motorbikes.

Polarbear is now whining like a bh on heat on here now to get his own back.

I know bert from playing online. I've never met trash. Bert does seen to be getting a little too upset about this. The best advise I can give you is forget, move on.

We all share a common interest, cars, meeting up IRL and finding common interests after that won't always work. Most of us would get on, some of us won't.

Myself & callmedave have met Civpilot a few times. And I have to say he is mental!! Which is ok because I'm mental too, so is callmedave. So Civ, we'll see you on Saturday when you come down and we'll all have a mental night out wink
Bert, I hope you get the explanation you deserve but for now id delete this thread mate smile

Maybe Bert was just being a concerned friend. He lives in the country, knows the area etc... and when Trash said "i'm going for a ride" perhaps got a bit worried that he was going to get lost or something and came on a bit strong?

Or...

Maybe Bert's wife gives a crap blowie which left Trash traumatised....

Thinking back to the OP, the line "will I see you again" does sound a bit weird. Why would he have reason to think otherwise?

Also "mate, don't message me again" may also send conflicting messages, you know, prefacing it 'mate', when he's clearly not

TBF if you are playing the nice guy it is a bit harsh if the other guy starts getting a bit rude without even telling you why.

It would be acceptable if the nice guy was getting al lcreepy and you had to escape but it doesn't sound like that happened here.

I'm guessing Polarbert went all Three Degrees on the thetrash,a Guy singing 'When will I see you again' to another Guy is a bit too bromantic.
