That one was a Red Rum Racing playlist. They usually plan them in advance and do 5 or more laps of each track so crashing doesnt mean race over. It takes an hour or so but its fun. biggrin

Saiphs method was a bit different but it does work if done right. Ask him it's complicated.

I use the tapping brake method all the time, it works with any class too. I'm thought everyone used it!

Playlist wise, I'd say 5-10 tracks, I suppose it depends on how long they are

Sorted my car out just in case I'm free Saturday night:

Washington: $15000
Paint: metallic straw brown, $1396
Engine: level 3, $3420
Private plate: $570
Windows: light smoke, $1425

Total: $21811

Thing is, I suspect we have slightly different levels of discount in Los Santos Customs so I'm not sure that's the standard price! Challenger, can you arbitrate? I can take off the window tint or something to get within the cap.

I wondered that when I saw your personal plate for $570. Mine always costs me €600. How does that work then? Didn't realise the cost of things can differ

If players report you as a good player you get a 5% discount, I didn't realise until recently.

Paint cost seems much the same to me. If you're having problems with how expensive a certain paint seems to be, let me know, but it shouldn't be a problem.

Now I need your feedback on this, what would be a good time and date for you guys? I know I've said Friday and Saturday, but if you can all tell me what times are good, that'd be a help. I'm hoping to run two events, one on each day. That should make things easier. Also, for those who are worried about exploding vehicles, shooting tyres - most of the events will be within GTA Races so you can just respawn. There is only one event in 'full' free-roam, and for that, all the gloves are off, so suck it up! Aside from that, when driving from event to event, you're free to put passive mode on if you want and you're worried about people being difficult.

If everyone commends everyone else we should all end up with the discount. Online menu -> players -> select player -> commend.

The brake tapping thing is a bit like kerb hopping in that it causes the car to rev higher suddenly, you synchronise with gearshifts. I briefly tried it in a race on my own, wasn't even nearly consistent enough and just went slower frown

The one I'm on about is only used at the start of a race, basically it's just a turbo boost launch.
As the race counts down, when it starts you hit the gas and if done perfectly you get the fast start.
Some find it easier to do if you hold it in WOT then on go you really quickly lift the gas, hit the brake and back on the gas. A bit like changing gear in a manual car.
There's loads on YouTube but can't link from my phone

Do this.

I've done it a few times, works best if there are just a few crew in a lobby because you need commendations from a large proportion of other players to get bigger discounts.

Yes, the Sentinel isn't anywhere near the fastest in its class

I prefer the Felon to the Zion, but either is fine for coupe class. Zion has hardtop & convertible versions, performance is the same.
Felon is actually a 4 door, despite being in coupe class, they don't seem to spawn all that often.

I've got a hardtop zion and a felon, so if you want either shout and I'll see if we can spawn one.

Just bringing this forwards so challenger gets the feedback he needs.

I don't mind on times but aware that some people have stuff they need to sort before logging on (kids to bed etc). How about 9pm?

Should we also try to get our car picks posted here an hour or two in advance to give Challenger a chance to validate our entries? If everyone updates at the last minute he might become innundated, which makes his job harder.
