Sorry guys I know this is the online thread but you all seem to be in here more often smile

Anyone know wtf this is?

I was pissing about at the cult with a sniper rifle, when I clocked a couple of stationary police cars in the distance. Went across to check it out, and there was 2 sheriff cars, 3 county style policeman and an IAA guy facing away from them. Nobody moved or did anything when I went up for a couple of minutes, then an animal ran past and when I wasn't looking the IAA guy and a sheriff got shot.

Dafuq!? Have googled for the random events etc but can't track this one down. I had recently dropped off a hitchhiker at the cult if it's any difference.

Location was at the end of a ridge about 300m south of the cult smile

You're watching the aftermath of the 'Thelma and Louise' random events, where two women drive a Tornado (Chevy Bel Air in the film) off a canyon rather than be arrested. It's the only way to get the rusty, open-topped Tornado online as well so you missed an opportunity there!

And dunno why it was saying that, Jobbo. Was pissing about in my garage with my car collection as usual. You can get the lapping it up award at your apartment anyway, no point paying for extra ones at the strip club once you've got the number of one of them! Was this why you guys weren't inviting me to the events because you thought I was fapping on the mike or something?

Rules for the Top Gear SUV challenge will be up soon as well.

Here's my view of the end of race carnage: http://youtu.be/mK5rvUxKo3g

VBRJ Top Gear School Run Mum Challenge

As the price of SUVs soars and many turn to pathetic crossovers to fulfill their fantasies of driving a massive fuel-guzzling inefficient roadhog, it's up to us to see what can be done for a typical soft-roader on a bargain, and whether they're any good via a series of completely relevant and necessary challenges.

The Rules:

  • Total spend on the vehicle is maxed out at $66,000. This includes all armour, engine, transmission, brakes, turbo and suspension upgrades. There is no limit on the amount you can spend on wheels, paint, body mods etc etc. The 'obligatory respray' rule only applies to vehicles purchased from SouthernSanAndreasSuperAutos
  • Vehicle can be stolen, but the value of it must be added to your calculations for the value of the car.
  • The Vapid Radius is banned
  • Bulletproof tyres are only allowed if you pay for them. The format will be the same as previously so there shouldn't be an issue if your tyres go boom - they'll get repaired for the next race instantly (as long as you've been paying your mechanic!) and the free roam challenge will be all bets off, so you're advised to try and sabotage your competitors (but blowing them up is somewhat frowned on still).
For a full list of eligible vehicles and prices, see below.

Albany Cavalcade (Old Model) - $60k
Benefactor Serrano - $60k
Dundreary Landstalker - $58k
Fathom FQ2 - $50k
Mammoth Patriot - $50k
Emperor Habanero - $42k
Declasse Granger - $35k
Canis Mesa - $30k
Canis Seminole - $30k
Bravado Gresley - $29k
Karin BeeJay XL - $28k

Events will start at 8pm on Saturday the 31st January.

I didn't realise it was that specific anyway; even more amusing that it's not correct. I was only teasing anyway biggrin

What day/time is the SUV challenge? I'll probably prepare a car but I'm not around Saturday night at all, no chance of me suddenly being available (but this isn't a request for it to be on Friday; I was lucky to be part of the last one!)

SUV challenge sounds good, have my car from that list chosen already.

Also, last night, my headset was working fine, I didn't have it on as I'm recovering from man/Ebola flu aids so didn't think you wanted to hear coughing etc.

Good fun for an hours racing last night!

Merryweather Mesa is off road class and unsellable so can't be valued, surely?

See above. Merryweather Mesa is both Off-Roaders, and has a value of $100k, so far too expensive.

And Jobbo, the time and date was at the end of my post - this Saturday at 8. Am I thinking an even later start would be better for some of you folks with pesky things like families ad jobs?

I'll give abuse back later.

I did enjoy the gutted sounding voices when I won a few races. hehe
Makes winning that little bit more sweeter. wink

How do you work out the value at $100k, Challenger? You can't buy it and can't sell it, so I thought it was unknown?
