Was just about to post this. Not worried about the pc news, Mine is no where near man enough for it (8gb ram required!)
I'm quite happy on PS4. I suspect the PC version will become a hackfest.

Well with that in mind and no update on the horizon, lets' get going with another challenge!

---

The PH Top Gear Lowriders Challenge!

It's time to give some love to the members of the Sports Classics class that maybe don't have the performance of the Monroe, Pigalle and Z-type. Yes, those much-beloved hunks of 1960s pig-iron that Carcer City threw out and are loved by gang bangers and corrupt software executives alike!

Date/Time - 9:00 pm Saturday 28th February.

Rules:

-Vehicle must be one of the following (any variant allowed):

Albany Mañana

Vapid Peyote

Déclassé Tornado

-The price for visual modifications is completely unlimited. However, bear in mind that this challenge will include judging by a third party, so put some effort into making it look tasteful as well as ridiculous!

-With regards to engine/transmission/brake modifications, you may do as you wish, spend as much or little as you like/can. Bear in mind they cost less to mod than most Sports Classics so you shouldn't be in too bad a situation after finishing it. You're probably looking at $24k in total if you fully mod it.

-Armour and Turbo upgrades are banned.

-Bulletproof tyres are allowed ONLY if you have a drop-top version of your car.

-Pictures MUST be posted to the forum. I want to send them off to the judges after the event, so I know a lot of you are slacking on this! It doesn't take long to organise a shoot. If you haven't got a picture, I'll have to photograph it myself during our sessions and it'll probably be a quick job. Doing it yourself gives you time to find a setting you like. In addition, posting a forum picture gives you an additional +10 points.

-Vehicle must be insured and have a tracker.

-Attire is not enforced but is definitely a positive. An example outfit would include:

  • Tank Top
  • Ranch Jeans (where the underwear is showing)
  • Skate Shoes/Work Boots
  • Backwards-facing Baseball Cap
  • Micro SMG
-Suspension must be lowered as far as you can with your car.

Have fun! I'll be online tonight for a chat about the hype heist and hopefully host a couple of races with less in the way of barriers everywhere!

Just an apology to any fellow VBRJ folks on when I am - I'm feeling a bit spammy with the invites to races etc but just furiously trying to build up some funds and rep points at the moment, it's rather embarrassing turning up to jobs in a car that can't keep up with everyone else when they zoom off to the first objective smile

That was funny, it was Nickie_Abbie (not sure if I spelt that right) that followed you out. I couldn't understand how I then got killed and respawned. I didn't realise that if you went out of bounds on a mission then that's it, you're totally out.

Ah ok! I know that on sometimes there is a 'spare' life, so the first person to die can respawn. I'm not sure if it counts if you go out of bounds though? I had no way of letting him know to stop following me either

And don't forget, you can't sniper the petrol tanker driver laugh

Hey tapeworm. I usually host races locked to standard vehicles, so if you catch me hosting a playlist, feel free to join in, we'll all mostly be on the same level. Or if you need someone to run you through some high level missions, let me know, happy to help!

Keep an eye out for other PH members hosting missions etc as they are likely to be higher level missions giving better payouts / rp. Most of us dont mind if you hang back in missions if your low level, its better to hang back a little on a mission you dont know just so you can see what to do.

Add me on PSN, when im on i dont mind running through some higher level missions with you

Yeah Tapeworm, as Wilkibob said, feel free to join missions - I usually get on for an hour or so when I get home from work and generally host missions then to boost the bank balance - have seen you online a few times then, so feel free to join my invites - Can easily make a good $100k and one or two level-ups in around an hour...

Out of curiosity, and mostly because I'm skint in game, what are the best paying/shortest time taking missions?

I know Rooftop Rumble/A Titan of a Job/Landing Strip? (the one you have to steal a private jet from the coast then fly to Sandy Shores airport where more bad guys are waiting) are good for payment...but they get repetitive after a while.

Job payouts vary depending on time taken and people joined.

The ones you listed are good paying, but also consider what you are paying for in ammo/armour in the mission. A couple of sticky bombs and a bullet prof vest can be half of the $5k payout! Get a group of 3 or 4 PHers and don't Rush the job and you can make over $100,000 in an hour to hour and a half.
Don't forget to sell a baller every 45 mins for $9k a pop.

I was reading the other day that the most lucrative time in which to complete missions is 4 minutes, based upon payout vs amount of missions per hour. Not particularly easy to do in practice though, so I tend to favour the missions in which I can use my buzzard and save using up tonnes of ammo.

If you are selling a baller, you are missing a trick, you want the modified dubsta 2 in gold or chrome:

you can get 29k if you do the horn jig.

Steal a Baller and drive it in to the chop shop, cycle through the suspension mods (but don't select any), select the sad trombone (FOC) and then sell for $15k. You'll get charged for the trombone if you select it before you scroll through the suspension options though. This trick works for a lot of cars wink

I've found doing missions is a quick way to earn good cash and rank up. I always invite crew members, so if you're on join in as I'm pretty crap too biggrin

I'm jimbo2109 btw

I normally do American Exports... as long as you don't cock around too much getting felony as you steal the cargo bob (by avoiding the police choppers on the way out) its easy... (and the 2nd person grabs the buzzard) 20k+ and 4k ish RP...

If you get in the cargobob and just jump it over the fence and land behind the little huts next to where the cargobobs spawn, the police choppers don't come and you can sit there and wait for the star rating to expire so you don't need to outrun them. You have to make sure no-one gets in the buzzard though as that is what triggers the police choppers...handy little tip that, same goes for Docks to Stock missions
