Thanks, I shall keep my fingers crossed we are allowed! smile

Can the Massacro be the racecar version or does it have to be the road version?
Also, do we also have a big group chat going on or is it just one and one's teammate?

Any version,any mods any colour.

We have just a big group chat, there aren't really any rules other than if your the cause of someone spinning off or crashing let them back in front and everyone does 1 pit stop during the 30 min race.

My psn is EasedLight15. I'll invite you for a spin after 7.

I saved the last 15 minutes of my race but it seems that was the pretty uneventful part. Not very interesting but I uploaded it anyway: https://youtu.be/UTp9fplpt_0 - don't say I didn't warn you. Don't bother to like it for Chop.

That was a brilliant! Exactly what GTA racing should be smile

I'm slightly gutted at coming near the end of the GT1s, I feel I could have come higher if not for a few silly crashes and spins, but that's something to work on for next time. Well done to my partner in crime Pansondowlington for winning GT2 right out of the box though.

I would say roll on next week, but I know that I'll be otherwise engaged during the race hours frown

Rather disappointed with my performance last night, I should of and can do better!
I was first first half of the first lap, so in an excellent position, but stupid mistakes of my own doing and I lost 3 places. I put it down to being up since 5am with 4 hours sleep, I just couldn't concentrate enough.
I was starting to make up a bit of time towards the end, and finished 1 second behind 3rd place.
I wish Ned had of been in the race, he would of dominated it, his times are at least 4-5 seconds faster than everyone last night!
Oh well, its been great fun, and I loved seeing everyone racing on my track.
I thought it worked really well with the crossover section, seeing other racers fly past as you approached it was excellent and added a new element to what can sometimes become lonely races.

Sorry to who it was, I can't remember at the moment, but the Oulton Park track you hosted after the main race was awesome! I loved it!
With some tweaking of that chicane barriers and some other bits it could be a very popular track.
Sub one minute lap times and mostly very fast corners would make for some excellent races!
On some corners there are the big blue boards with gaps between, if you move them together and add more it will look a lot more finished.
If I can find it on the social club I'll go through it and give some feedback on everything smile

It was Chemical Chaos/Cheshire_Cowboy's track. It is good, needs a few extra barriers to show direction but short and sweet.

With regards to the GT1/GT2 championship that I was a part of last night for the first time. It was my first experience of a proper race with lots of people and it is so stressful/exciting in equal measure. I really enjoyed the crossover figure of 8, forces you to look ahead and adjust the your entry speed and line to avoid collisions, very interesting to have in a lap.

Who takes down the scores and results of the races, would be interesting to see. Also what points do you get for 1st, 2nd, 3rd... etc?

EDIT: Whoops, didn't see your last post.

Ok, my thoughts on the Oulton Park track....

Turn one, fill in all of the gaps on the blue barriers, and more importantly turn them all around so the posts are the on back.
Try to make sure there are no edges sticking out, so if you end up scraping round them there isn't an edge sticking out that could stop you dead.
Having gaps between barriers can be one of the most annoying things in a track, if you get stuck between them its a nightmare.

Checkpoint 9 needs moving so it is pretty much on the apex of the corner at the chicane, just to the right of the lamp post.
As you approach that section at high speed its really hard to see where the track goes due to it being so built up.
Its a very high speed corner, and better placement of the CP will aid in showing where the corner is.
On the other side of the road outside the PILLS shop there is a big tree and traffic lights, I'd put a neat barrier across the whole lot, so if you do end up crashing there its easy to get back into the race. Last night I ended up getting tangled up inbetween the tree and building which lost tons of time.

I think in general, if the barriers are improved on all of the corners it can be made to be awesome!

Also, in the chat last night you were saying you want more people to play it, its really essential that the CP's are all polished and tweaked.
One of the golden rules for a good track is CP's that clearly and easily show you the route without you having to check the map.
IE, try to make it so that as soon as you go through one, you can instantly see the next one.
Also, try not to rely on just placing it and leaving it as that. You have the option to rotate the arrows once placed, this can make a huge difference if the next CP is not directly in line with the next one, because it will point towards it as the crow flies, not necessarily the direction you have to go in on the track.

Hopefully thats all seen as constructional, and not me picking fault in it, because its a track I love and want to race on more smile

Enjoyed the race last night. Jacob got a clean start as he started near the front. I started near the back and by the time I had picked my way through I was around 14 seconds behind him. I got that down to 4 seconds by around lap 5 and then had a major crash on the cross over section while I was trying to avoid a recovering tberger. I was trying to predict his route, which was erratic, I should have used the brake instead but was eager not to lose time to jacob. After that I was around 14 seconds behind him but 50 seconds ahead of third place so I was happy with that.

Overall I loved the cross over section, even with a nasty crash. I got to witness some great action going on further down the field that I would have never seen on any other track. Saw cheshire cowboy slamming into another massacro on that tight turn left and lee and panson fighting for first place in gt2. I'll try and get a video up.

Thanks to challenger for allowing me past after I'd convinced him I was in fact racing in GT1.

True, sorry about that.

We sent invites and at 920 you weren't online let alone loading up far.

We had 4 no shows last night so it's difficult to know who's got bored after 2 races and who's gone again to project cars.

Once again, I hosted it, I started the race early, I apologise.

I did try to be good with the GT1 drivers but like I said, my sincere apologies to Lee for letting the Red Mist cloud up. I ended up in fourth in class if I recall correctly, but I could have got second if I let you through. I'm sorry. Hope I didn't let you down too much DJ.

Thanks for the constructive feedback smile

It was the first race I ever made, long ago when sod all props were available on PS3, so I suppose it was long overdue an update!

I've replaced all the barriers with much more visual ones (ie the new arrowed tyre walls instead of those tiny hay bale arrows) so its easier to see where the course goes - I've also respaced the checkpoints at the Knickerbrook chicane and actually added one in right on the apex, so it's now clear to see. At the same time, I've covered the lamppost on the apex with a small concrete barrier, in such a way that anyone on the racing line will miss it anyway but anyone who loses it on the switchback will not demolish the post into the path of others approaching at high speed! Finally, I've redone the Old Hall Corner with a smooth wall of blue barriers so anyone going wide will bounce along them instead of ending up in a front garden - though I made sure to test that it's still quicker to take the correct line as the one thing I hate is people who can't drive properly getting ahead by wallriding barriers!

Let me know what you think biggrin

I don't think that's quite correct - the rotating once you've placed it only affects where the car is facing when you respawn. The arrow always faces directly to the next checkpoint as the crow flies; that means it chooses whether to be a single or double arrow automatically based on the angle to the next checkpoint.

For anyone who's interested this is my 2:57 in a massacro on over the hill. Not sure about my line into the first corner but the rest was good.
