PS4 GTA V Online

When you buy a property, I recommend one of the 10-car garages with no apartment attached; they're just over $100k. Don't just buy the $500k apartment because its no different to any other apartment with a 10 car garage apart from the view. It's just storage space for cars, basically

This.got the 2 garages by the airport. Does me fine
Will keep that in mind thanks, already bought the one online though.
Thought I was already in the clan. Turns out it was the Xbox one so I've just sent a request over
Has anyone managed to do the challenge for the easy $250k? I read the instructions but the challenge needed wasn't in the challenge list.
Also, it's probably been asked before sorry but what's a good company to invest into with the on the stick market for story mode?

I haven't done any challenges - apparently they're not guaranteed to pay out and you could lose $250k. Not sure if that means you need $250k to buy in?Thought I was already in the clan. Turns out it was the Xbox one so I've just sent a request over

Stock market in story mode - it varies; you can make billions out of investing at the right time in companies before and after the Lester assassination missions, but you need to leave it until the end of the game when you've done the final high-earning missions to do so. Google will bring up a few guides.
You can have two properties, by the way
I've done the challenges twice and my girlfriend has done it once.
Two of them were Criminal Records, 1 was 5 laps that had to be done in about 3.5 mins which was easy.
The 2nd Criminal Records was two races, both 5 laps and both had times that were easy to beat. One of them was on my girlfriends account using a totally stock Zentorno, and even that was easy to beat.
The last one was Down the drain, 2 laps. I beat it in my fully modded Zentorno with a good 30 seconds to spare and I wasn't really pushing it that hard.
All 3 paid out 500k (obviously including 250k put in)
The actual challenge in the video won't be on there as they change day to day.
I just looked through until I found one that was 250k and Criminal Records.
The time I did Down the drain was because I couldn't find one for CR, so tried that one instead.
After you've done one it greys out the option and says no more challenges today.
Yes, of course it is a challenge and you are taking a gamble, so just be aware that if you do fail you will lose the 250k entry fee!

My lady wife unexpectedly bought me a copy of GTA V at the weekend - I'm going to have a read through the whole of this thread to try and learn what I can but having not played V on the PS3 (the last one I had was IV) I have some catching up to do.
I should be "thetapeworm" on PSN and in the Social Club thing (which I haven't got a clue about right now).
Done 2 challenges so far.
Got $250k for one and £338k for the other one.
Both were laps round the prison. First was to be done under 3:11, i did a 2:25 in a standard car.
2nd one was split into 2 races, both were 5 laps round the prison again, but with a 5 minute time for each race..
Easy cash. Bought a Buzzard now as well.
Oh, and my PSN ran out so need to renew that as well today..

Had an absolute disaster with GTA5 yesterday. I've been trying to get the wife to give it a try for a while but she isn't into video games and hates GTA due to all of the violence and swearing.
However I thought I'd be able to get her interested by putting it into 1st person mode and getting her to just walk around the city, just looking at things in the hope that she'd appreicate the detail, scale and technical achievement of it all.
Things were going quite well at first, she walked along the beach looking at the shops and seemed to be impressed by the graphics and scenery. However after a few minuets she started to get bored and wandered inland along a few roads and up to a cafe. She ended up going round the back of the cafe into a sort of ally area but by now boredom had set in and she was about to hand the controller back to me.
But just then a cat appeared at the end of the ally (this must be new to PS4 GTA as I've never seen one before), and started walking along. The wife suddenly perked up and got all excited, saying "aww a cutie" as she walked towards it. My hopes now up that the mrs might be on the way to becomming a gaming partner I watched as she virtually followed the virtual cat and tried to navigate around the front of it so that she could see its face.
Unfortunatley she then attempted to pat the cat, but it seems that GTA5 doesn't have a 'pat the cat' function, as whatever button she pressed caused her character to suddenly and agressively start stamping the feline into the ground, in graphic and realistic detail, in 1st person.
She turned to me with a look of genunine shock and disgust, and now just refers to GTA as 'that sick sick game!' so I guess I'll have to keep playing it on my own for a while.
