What time are the races kicking off tomorrow night?
I presume from Eased's post that the Comet races will be happening - I only created the off-road playlist for something to do if nothing else had been arranged. I guess Eased will be starting about 7.30.There will be something to do tonight either way

If i can get on and get a comet and mod it in time ill join in racing, done a couple of races yesterday for the first time in ages, so may be a bit ring rusty!!
don't worry the tracks are all really short so we'll do loads of laps, i use glade and nikki abbie as my brake markers I'm fortunate that I've had a Comet for ages; it was the first high-end car I bought and I've only briefly got rid of it (when we were limited to 10 cars, bought it again when we got the second garage IIRC). It's not quite as uncontrollable as it feels initially; I think it's more predictable than the Issi. The two things to avoid are:
- don't press the throttle down fully when pulling away from rest, it simply spins the wheels and if you turn the steering it spins on the spot.
- don't accelerate until you're past the apex, but you can go through corners off the throttle (or on a balanced throttle if you're more delicate than me) at surprisingly high speed. In the dry, anyway.
Drive it like you would an old-school 911 and you won't go wrong

I love mine too, especially in the unique blue I created.
Its one of my favourite cars in the game, I love its handling and feeling of being over powered.
If driven well it is very fast and easily a match for a Massacro. The key is taming the beast.
I've spent a lot of time using mine in free roam, and as Jobbo says, the trick is to not power through corners or be too quick to get back on the gas.
Its definitely a slow in fast out type of car

I'll run the off-road playlist next Sunday (though I need to check how many people it will accommodate first - excellent turn out each Sunday night!)
And I'll reiterate that you can use whatever you want which can race in the off-road class except motorbikes, but you will make your race more fun and less frustrating if you use a Sandking

No harm done Ivan, I caused my share of difficulties too so I can't point fingers! I know I ruined one of Glade's races for which I'm very sorry.
And yes, i agree with DJ and Jobbo, you need to coast the car through corners, don't stamp on the throttle.
Infernii are one of the lesser known cars as well. Maybe we should have a stock Infernus series, since it is a lot to ask people to spend $440k on a car.
We need a cheap muscle car as well. Picadors?

I have to say, I REALLY hate those fking tyre barriers, be it full or half tyres. There are so many other decent props that can be used instead that don't bring your car to a complete halt when you so much as brush them.
I never understand why people put tyre stacks around lamp posts too that could otherwise be knocked down.
One track had a lamp post on the exit of a corner that could be avoided, but if you got it wrong you hit the tyres and stopped dead.
Hitting a lamp post and being slowed down by it is punishment enough to make you want to avoid it, but to turn it into an obstacle that stops you dead is just plain annoying!
