Only gripes i have are loading times to get onto online after missions etc,s having to use the d-pad to zoom with sniper rifle and lastly having to hold L1 + R1 to shoot whilst in a vehicle!!!!

Also with the neons. Can they be turned off from the main lights?

Yeah I dont like the zoom with the sniper rifle and having to re-zoom every time I scope in.
I do like the L1 + R1 to shoot though, I use the alternate controls where L1 is aim and R1 is shoot which was broken when driving on the PS3. If i pressed either button to aim while in a vehicle it would just shoot and never let me aim before shooting. Now its all fixed, for me at least.

Had fun with first person mode sat in the back of a prisoner transport van the other night. Police were going nuts ramming the back of it and we could open the doors and fire at them with machine guns while running away, excellent.

Keep going back to challenges every 25 or so they refresh a bit I just done one there

no.. not yet, they were OK back in the day on PS3 so maybe they just forgot about the crew markings, got them back twice though.. one being a nice snipe through the car..

(they shot me as i was stood on top of my car!)

There are some assassination you do for Lester, on PS3 there was a list of which company to invest in for which mission, you would leave them until the end of the game and you ended up with a billion for each character. However, Ive read that this has changed on PS4 and you can no longer earn mega bucks.
So make sure if you do find anything advice is applicable to the PS4 version.

You can sell a car every 48 minutes (real time). Just take it to the Los Santos customs and flog it. Nicer cars are worth more. Every so often a green car will appear on the map, you need to grab this, go to Los Santos and respray it (any colour, so pick the cheapest one) and then deliver it to the docks. You get more money for these ones.
Buy some sticky bombs, every so often an armoured truck will appear, sticky bomb the back doors, it''ll drop money. Get ready to scarper as the cops will be on you fairly quickly.
You can rob stores (shopping baskets on the map), just go in and point a gun at the cashier, hell fill a bag that you can pick up. Usually nets a few grand, again get ready to run from the cops.

You will see red circles on the map, these are gang attacks, you'll have to kill 15-25 people that will come at you, don't worry if you die, doesn't really matter. The gang members will drop cash and weapons and there will also be two green ammo crates too, each one contains $500 and some weapon or other. This is a good (cheap) way to pick up ammo and guns, max $2-2.5k out of each one. There are about 50 in total.

Other than that do missions, races, whatever. Crew will be able to invite you to higher missions than you can start yourself, so jump in on those.

As Jobbo said a page or two back, just buy a cheap 10 car garage, spend the money on cars and ammo.

What's the deal with selling expensive cars? Can't you? Do you just have to lose all the cash you spent on them if you want to get rid of them? Do you just have to blow them up?

You should be able to flog most cars. I think if you have a car from very early on you may not be able to sell it, but doesn't hurt to try. If you can't sell and you drive a new car in to your garage (or buy one) it'll ask which car you want to replace.

There are now custom NPC cars with visual but no performance mods. They sell for more than the old gang cars.
So far these have been spotted:

Dew yellow Sentinel XS near that restaurant with the UFO on the side

Yellow or blue Sandking XL in Paleto bay near the police station

Metal gold Dubsta 2 (!!) near the central LSC

A couple of others too, I'll post pics and info when I'm home not using my phone

I shot Crafty by accident on Sunday - entirely my fault but I assumed the targeting thing worked as it always used to. It doesn't! So it might be innocent, though you'd expect an apology if it was accidental...

The only time I ever shoot a crew member on purpose is if they have a bounty, and then I will always share it with them 50/50

I had a quick go at a challenge earlier - only a $5k one, 5 laps of Criminal Records in something like 5m 27s. Easy, but I still went for it in my modded Zentorno and got consistent 24s laps, other than the first which was a couple of seconds longer from the standing start. Doing 5 laps in 2mins must be impossible so don't accept any with silly low times to beat.

I've just this minute found a modded Sandking XL in Paleto bay, much more modded than the one above!
I'll stick some photos up when its day light (in game lol)

Painted skidplate & bullbars
Painted double roll bar
Chrome extended fuel tanks
Chrome grill
Metallic yellow primary & secondary colours
Sunshade
Fagorme wheels in white
Light smoke windows
White tyre smoke

It was quite a surprise to see it pull out in front of me!

Strangely, if I select frost white wheels, they don't look as white as the ones it spawned with, its as if they are the other white that you cannot normally choose for wheels



I also found the blue one, which came with these mods

Bed cap
Chrome grill
Light blue primary & secondary with a pink pearl
Race suspension
Lozspeed baller wheels
White tyre smoke
Light smoke windows



They both spawned in the Ammunation car park

The blue one looks the same as the pic from GTA forums, so I guess the mods they spawn with aren't random as I had thought. Seems like these could be the new gang cars when it comes to selling stuff off the street
