I think I changed the button to save videos so you have to press and hold 'Share' - when I do that it brings up a PS screen where I press square to save the video. I shall have to investigate reverting it.

Me too, it always annoyed me that I could only save the last 15 mins of a race!

Edit:

Basic operation of the SHARE button

Short Press
Display the menu for the Share feature.
To share immediately, select which action you want to perform.
When you select [Upload Screenshot] or [Upload Video Clip], the screenshot or video clip is also saved. To save a screenshot or video clip without uploading it, press the button or button.

Long Press
Take a screenshot.
When you press and hold the button for at least 1 second, a screenshot is taken and (finished) is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen.
Use this when you want to take a screenshot without displaying the menu.

Double-Press
Set the start point for a video clip.
Use this when you want to start recording again from the current point in time.
This is convenient when there is a specific scene you want to save.

You can change how the SHARE button operates. Press the SHARE button, then press the OPTIONS button while the menu for the Share feature is displayed, and then select [Share Settings] > [SHARE Button Control Type].

Yeh, some good racing! - enjoyed Oulton Park, as I was last-ish on the 1st lap, but battled my way back to finish 4th! top 3 were just too far ahead!

I was the same, was rubbish for the first half of the Oulton Park race but came back to finish 6th. (I was 10th on lap 15). With no catchup/slipstream on I don't think that's a bad result.

I guess this function doesn't require you to press Square to save the recording, since you've already told it to record. Think this must be what I've been missing! How do you know when the 15 mins is coming to an end - does it warn you?

I was trying to take it steady on Oulton Park to avoiding spinning out, but with billybobrae glued to my bumper it wasn't easy!
I really enjoyed it thought, it was tense from start to finish with us swapping places a couple of times biggrin

Futons will be fun, any suggestions for a track? Jobbo suggested my Over the hill track last night I think, that could be good.
I did enjoy the shortvlaps last night, it seemed to keep the pack closer together

i always thought when you double tap, it doesn't save what you have just been doing, it just starts a new recording...

Yes, double tap to start and again to stop or it will automatically stop and save after 15 mins and tell you it has, then you can start it again

I'll sort a futo playlist for Sunday.

Lots of short laps maybe 3 or 4 tracks.

This is what I use. During long races it comes up video clip saved and then I double tap to start recording again

At end I press share button once and save video or straight to upload can also trim the start and end of video before

Just managed to squeak under the par time for the new time trial: https://youtu.be/xL4rR4B1BwI

That's using a fully modded Sanchez. I didn't find a good route in a Huntley but I think a Brawler might be good, so long as you can find a way up. Bikes are definitely favourite again because they're much better for dodging around the numerous rocks.

Thanks to Chemical Chaos for the lift back down: https://youtu.be/rIYmvJO6JfA

Just a tip for the new time trial - I've seen a video of someone doing it in 36.something on an Akuma and 38.something in a non-armoured Kuruma. There's a better route than the one in my video. Par time is 46.3 so 36.something is mental.

I'm going to add a few more races so we can just bang in loads of races and finish about 9 without having to waste time going into freemode.
