Yeah i used to have a beat up one i fully modded on PS3, then i got the clean one on PS4. I might get a clean one again... i remember it was pretty shocking to drive on roads so i dunno.

I did buy the Blista Compact last night just need to mod it up!

I wouldn't bother buying one, there's normally loads around Sandy Shores. It's the beat up one you want. You can't put any of the cool cosmetic mods on the clean one for some reason.
Are they the same performance wise??

Yeah, it's just the cosmetics that are different. You won't be able to get the Dakar/Stadium truck look with the clean one.

I did some testing last night with the Rebel and messed about with a few locations for a track.
I forgot just how slow and boring the Rebel was! Especially after using a fully modded Sandking for location hunting.
Personally I think the trusty SWB Sandking is MUCH more fun as its faster and when off road is more bouncy.
I will make a track and allow all off road stuff (apart from Sanchez!) but I think we should use SK not Rebel

I'd agree, it is a far better drive - and of course nearly everyone already has one.

Also, I reckon Painbow Road in the rain at night would be massive fun in big trucks biggrin

In terms of speed and handling, not really. When using them for hardcore off road racing, its swings and roundabouts - the SWB is more agile in tight spots and has abetter breakover angle but the LWB can climb up bigger steps etc. without lifting the wheels off the ground and is generally more stable/less bouncy

I prefer the SWB mainly for the better turning circle

I had one of each for a while as I kept one for farming the modded ones at Sandy Shore but I switched to farming Sentinels so I sold the lwb one. The swb gets hung up less than the lwb but in a track environment that probably won't matter so much.

Just booked my install for new flat internet, 4th Dec. Massively lame.

I still have my LWB cabbed Sandking that I've had for ages! It was my go to vehicle for crew white dot hunting (in crew colours).... it was lowered and i affectionately called it "The Brick"

On another note, why do we never go white dot hunting anymore smash

As a suggestion, what about the Merryweather Mesa.

They used to roll really easily but after a bit of testing tonight it seems the handling has been improved quite a bit and they're much harder to roll.

I think they'll be a bit more fun that the sandking or rebel.

You can buy them now, but the easiest way to obtain them is call the mercenaries on someone, they turn up in the mesas, shoot all the people that get out and then just stick the car in your garage. Re-tested this tonight and it still works. Cost $7500 to do but you'll get 3 (or more) turn up for that. If the intended target didn't die you used to get a refund but that doesn't appear to be the case any more.

2 variants, open back

I quite fancy a Mesa again. They look cool. How much do they cost to buy? You never could sell the ones obtained from mercenaries so I think buying is probably the way to go.

Think I might have one of them already, so I'd be up for a go

They are 87k to buy from warstock.

I took the one I got tonight (from calling mercenaries) to LSC and have a sell option now, don't know how much as I had already just sold a car but the option was never there before, I guess that changed when they became purchasable. So I reckon mercenaries route all the way.

I tried to take one out of "Titan Of A Job" and it told me that I couldn't enter my garage with the mission objective, which I wasn't holding! Are there any more missions with them in we could try ?
They used to spawn at a gang attack on the sand bank near fort Zancudo but I think some people had trouble storing them from there.

They're in that one where you invade the Merryweather dock building and crack the safe - Dry Docking, is it? Let's give it a go (later on Saturday afternoon/evening for me).

You can store them (or at least could) from the gang attack on the beach to the west of Zencudo, I think you had to go via LSC rather than straight into your garage (or the other way round)
I've got a destroyed one I could claim insurance on I suppose, the only reason I never bothered was due to the crap handling.
If thats now been sorted it would be quite good!

Messa is fun but not the best off road car, doesn't have the power to climb steep hills etc.

Sandking, SWB is better for not getting hung up on stuff, driving over stuff and turning better.
LWB has more stable ride and doesn't buck about on fast off road driving as much.

I've a Rebel from Chall's challenge so can use that. It looks like a stadium truck anyway.
