My guess would be that they'll release a smaller island dlc to keep people playing just now and then a big new landmass that'll arrive with GTA 6 a few more years down the line.

I love the Sultan and Banshee! I don't consider it wasted money at all smile
I have no interest in those 3 old cars, so that to me would be a waste of money tongue out
Talking of which, are you all still having fun on your big boats? laugh

I never bought one! I was saving up for one of the "old" cars...

If people aren't too bothered about racing this weekend (not sure if I will "race mod" my Roosevelt) we could do some messing around in freemode and record some Editor clips... shoot up some taverns.. cop chases etc...

I kinda consider my Sultan a waste of money, but only because the Banshee has now been made more competitive within the Super class.

Imagine though if somebody hosted a race night with mid level supercars , then the sultan would be competative wink

I think the big thing for most of you guys in the crew will be the new underwear outfits, all kinds of boxer shorts for you to walk around in! I'm currently testing a Franken, Valor and regular Rosie, to see whether we could do something with stock Rosies for those that don't want to splash out.

That was my thought line too, everyone use standards and then nobody has to spend out on cars they might not otherwise use. could mix it up a bit by switching variants for different races.

The banshee is still way off the pace of a T20

How do all these new cars compare to the Turismo R? I think that's the quickest car I have but don't want to waste money.

The only problem is that both the Franken Stänge and the Valor are not available as 'stock' cars, because they're time limited cars they can only be chosen if you own them. However! I have done my Science(™) and I have some preliminary findings.

So I used Lee's track 'Paleto Bay GP' for this, lots of 90-degree corners and stop-start straights, so this isn't representative of something like Over The Hill, but I'll make sure to do more testing. So I started with modded versions of them all:

Paleto Bay GP

Franken (Modded): 1.36.030
Valor (Modded): 1.36.999
Roosevelt (Modded): 1.37.266

So there's a fairly ample advantage to the Franken, as Broughy suggests. I figured putting the rain on would be more of an equaliser...

Paleto Bay GP (Wet)

Franzen (Modded): 1.48.178 (Not Clean)
Valor (Modded): 1.39.902
Roosevelt (Modded): 1.37.266

That's not a typo. After 8 laps, I hadn't got one clean lap in a modded Franken. This was even less close, so I went and de-tuned my Franken and Valor (removed every performance upgrade I could except the EMS Level 1 which is the lowest you can go), and had a go in the dry:

Paleto Bay GP

Franken (Detuned): 1.39.868
Valor (Detuned): 1.39.301
Roosevelt (Stock): 1.40.135

Much, much closer. Decided to give it a go in the wet to see if that had any change.

Paleto Bay GP (Wet)

Franken (Detuned): 1.46.775
Valor (Detuned): 1.43.506
Roosevelt (Stock): 1.45.740

I did get a clean lap in the Franken, but the rain hampers it massively, so I would keep it dry for Sunday. So this means that we could have our race series on Sunday with those who don't want to pay in stock Roosevelts, and those who have one of the variants already just need to pay to take off the engine/transmission/brakes/turbo upgrades and we've got some fair racing on our hands.

Feeling wise, I would say the Franken is a cross between the Dominator and the Slamvan, very hard to keep in a straight line but probably with the most torque and top end of the lot of them. The Valor is more like a Ruiner, with a stiff body, but grips very well mid-corner unless it slips, at which point it's difficult (but not impossible) to recover from. The regular Roosevelt feels like a mid-point, reminds me of a Vigero, perhaps the slowest of the three, but very well balanced, and easy to recover from tail slides.

How does that sound to everyone? I still need to try with high speed tracks but if that doesn't work, we can keep to city circuits.

There was some talk of sports classics so we can use the valentines update car or supers so we can race these banshee/sultans.
.
If we limited it to adder, sultan, banshee, vacca and cheetah then there all lapping cutting corners between 1.04-1.05 so should have pretty close racing
Would be very up for either sports classic or supers.

Both my Pigalle and Sultan are currently too underused!

What about this as an alternative set of rules?

All Sports Classics allowed, EXCEPT the Stirling GT. But the trick is that the top 3 from the previous race can't use a 'normal' one and they have to use a slow one like a Roosevelt variant or a Tornado/Manana/Peyote? Would give an excuse to use the lesser known cars while keeping it a fairly mixed grid at the top!

And Saturday might be good as well, what say all of you?
