I was going to use the Verlierer because it didn't do badly against the faster sports cars on that dodgy track a few weeks ago. But I don't mind it being banned if it's blatantly too fast to be fair. Might have to swap characters tonight so I've got a selection of cars to use rather than being stuck in the Omnis.

I'm planning on using my fusilade so makes no difference to me if it's in or out.

I'd be surprised if the carbonazaire is much slower than the verlier though, remember when we did the pistonheads v vccm races the carbo drivers were getting some pretty decent times.

Didn't test that one, I sold mine that I had for a sunday night challenge a while ago. I'd say it'd do fairly well but may struggle with traction out of slow corners.

The rally cars are very chuckable around the twisties and can catch the Lynx quite easily, you can be flat on the throttle for much longer, but they lose out on the straights.

The problem with the Verlierer is it can carry the speed around corners quite well, so you don't get a chance to fight back.

For naff car races how about:

Muscle - Ruiner
Sedans - Stratum
Sports - Sprunk Buffalo
Sport Classic - Tornado
SUV - FQ2
Compacts- Prairie
Coupes - F620

The idea being they are all nickable off the street (except the Buffalo, but that should be free for most). They are all reasonably quick too (bar the Tornado but all other alternatives are $$$).

Problem with the Buffalo is that it's the better part of half a million for those who either aren't returning players or the returning thing didn't work for them. It is a fantastic car though, maybe the standard Buffalo or Buffalo S, then we can do another NASCAR night.

I always enjoyed when we did one-make stock car races with the Vigero (Muscle) and Vacca (Super) because they were so well balanced. Vaccas would also be an 'affordable' one make supercar race series, rather than the Reaper.

Tornado only racing would be hilarious though. It'd be like driving a bunch of canal boats.

yeh, that was cool when we raced on that oval... is there a better oval now with the stunt creator ??

Also the Penumbra and the Schwartzer - the Schwartzer's a bit forgotten and only competitive with the Penumbra and Futo, so that could be an interesting 3-car choice of freebies.

Fully agree. And I really enjoyed driving that Buffalo - I reckon it's a really good all rounder in the class, was so much fun to drive. I've been a bit of a misery guts regarding GTA for a while but that was a good reminder of how much fun it can be, thank you all.

That Lynx just wasn't up to keeping up with the Banshee and Carbo, I might have to chop it in!

Some great battles with Jobbo and Goon in some of those races, although my tendency for 3rd lap fk ups seems to have reappeared!

I've uploaded all the races except the one I missed, though the first bit of the first race didn't record. But I've made a total hash of the titles so until I correct them, just find them from the link above and ignore the race number...
