Give it another half hour or so and the hunt begins.

I'll stick at it tonight then and report back tomorrow. The comments on here do fill me with hope but I'm not entirely convinced from the game as of yet...

You're in the build-up at the moment, it's trying to establish a background and build some tension, but the game doesn't really start until the Alien is revealed properly and you start being hunted.

As above. It doesn't kick off until you get to the med labs

Well I played it for around 45mins last night. The Alien has started hunting me now and it has got better. I picked up a motion sensor device and now I am at the point where I just saw a droid in an orange type suit kill the guy who was in the first cut scene of the game.

A lot more tension now and I hope it expands on that which I'm sure it will.

Don't think it was the guy you think it was. As far as I can remember it's just one of the workers on the Sevastapol.

Love this game SOOOO much! Its the perfect Alien game...but if you are expecting Aliens then you will be very disappointed.

I have been playing on and off for months because I don't want it to finish. Also it is the most STRESSFUL game I have ever played. One section where I had to get my device upgraded to open a door all the time Mr Alien was clattering around...and I knew the moment I tried to use the security device he would jump down from a vent and human-kebab me. No...he came through the door and got me instead. It's the whole random elements that makes this so special. Trying to simply get from A-B can be a tension filled and dam scary affair. As an avid Alien fan and with such disappointment from other alien titles (except Alien 3 on Megadrive) but this is the game I have always wanted!

Couldn't agree more. Even regarding the Alien 3 comment.. though I have a memory it was on the Snes?

Don't hold back completing the game, the DLC is exactly what you are looking for too. Literally, exactly. Short intensive puzzle solving whilst under extreme pressure. I actually enjoyed it even more than the game itself. :-).

this fell into my trolley on my way home from work on friday (£15 in morrisons)

it's installed on the XBone, waiting for some time to get into it.

I picked it up from ebay a few days ago, headphone on, lights down in the house - proper creepy. Its already made me jump a few times and haven't even seen the Alien yet.

Gave the controller to my girlfriend the other day and put the Crew Expendable DLC on. Neither of us knew what to expect.

Within three minutes I'd heard the sound of a grown woman in terror. She nearly broke my controller throwing it away from her! (as if that would help!) mad

WIN!

My wife sat and watched me play the game and agreed the Alien noises in the ducts and it stomping around is proper scary stuff.

:-)

im just getting pissed off at this.

trying to get to the medic bay. there's loads of Joes on the rampage and i cant get to the lift. made it in but got stuck in there with a joe and couldnt kill him.

i WANT to play this game, the alien section is amazing. but the average joes are really ruining it for me.

Remember that you don't always need to sneak around them.

If you're near to the lift sometimes you can just run as fast as possible and they won't have time to get to you.

Do you have any noisemakers to distract them, then run.
