Thats taking it to another level haha

When i came up against a Joe who wouldn't move/stop looking in my direction and no noise makers i just ran like the fecking wind. I did die a few times running in the wrong direction and getting surrounded but eventually went the correct way and found an elevator.

The thrill of being chased and trying to find a hiding spot in terrific in this game...

Oh chase me, chase me heheyikes

i've got a bit of free time tomorrow night, think i'll try again with a clear head.

I really want to enjoy the game, but getting stuck in a rut is wearing down my patience.

Actually managed to get in this this weekend.

Having a hiatus from it certainly hasn't dulled the tension!

Got to the point whereby you have the flamethrower and head to the server room to try and trap it. Well. I already had the flame thrower. All I managed to do was get to the server room. Just getting there my motion tracker was going NUTS! the bugger was clattering through all the vents nearby, didn't come down to say hello but what a racket. Had me hiding for ages. When I finally found a couple of civilians I snuck up one and gave his cranium a swift bludgeoning after I overheard them basically admit to cannibalism. Apparently I'm not supposed to kill civilians so I had to resart... this game!

Frustrating but worth it.

I take it your on the part where you activate the comms relay?...

I got snatched via ceiling vent there. I should have noticed the saliva dripping from it... I just thought this place was poorly insulated and had terrible condensation problems.

Bought this on Steam last week. Really annoying as I bought it for full price in the morning, then in the afternoon it went down to £7.99 in the sale. ranting

Anyway, I've got to the bit where you need to go and find medical supplies for the injured woman who travelled over to the station with you. There is apparently a mad doctor I need to find. Anyone know how to get rid of the pesky alien? Keeps stomping around and killing me. smile

Also, I found the last bit of the game with the androids quite difficult. I'm new to the game and still need to learn a lot, but it was a bit frustrating at times.

Can yuo not get a refund and get it again at the same price?

Best tactic is just to avoid the alien entirely. Don't run or knock into objects as that will attract its attention, avoid fighting people, hide when it does come and only use weapons as a last resort

I got a used PS4 copy at the weekend for £10. Not tried it yet because I bought Project Cars at the same time and found that fairly entertaining. It's probably worth me sticking the disc in just to get the inevitable update download out of the way though.

I'm still very early on in this, only just encountered the Alien for the first time properly. Trying to sneak to the next location, the bloody thing dropped out of an overhead vent about 30 feet away from me. Immediate instinct was to run to the nearest elevator door, I'm sure you can all guess how that ended up going for me laugh

Genuinely creepy experience, I'm loving it (and equally hating it for all the right reasons!)

Can relate. Loved the game. Sneaking about, filled with fear and holding the controller with sweaty palms.

Stick with it.

I very much enjoyed the DLC after completing the campaign on hard. Much more bitesize intense chunks than the campaign which after a while becomes very hard and potentially drags a bit. Forgetting that last part, it still rocked, creeping about hiding from the beast!

:-)
