Can't say I really understand the point of clubs though. Can someone please educate me on the purpose of them?

Okay think the main idea is to add another level of competition to the game as the idea is you battle to be best in your club whilst at the same time trying get your club to the top of the table.

The club doesn't really add a lot to FH2 - i.e. there's no way to organise club-only racing, or any online club session.

however, being a member means the game/system prefers other club members' drivatars in your offline/online driving, including as Rivals. Also, it gets the PH name up the leaderboards smile

Not only that, but it makes the monthly rivals more interesting, as its PH theres always someone who's faster than you.

Im currently trying to catch someone on the Jaguar F type rivals event who is 8 secs faster than me, and its proving troublesome, but still fun biggrin

I've been really enjoying single player and did a few drag races online and enjoyed it (when you manage to get a lobby not full of Alfa 33 stradales) so had a go at online road trip last night. What an absolute shower of ste. Complete ram fest I tried 3 different times and each time it was just full of people going full speed into turns and slamming into you on the straights. Is there a way to avoid this?

I actually ended up finishing higher up by letting everyone go at the start then making my way through all the cars that had been rammed. If you go with the pack or god forbid get a lead then people just don't brake into the corner and side swipe at about 150mph. First world problems laugh

You don't need to be first to 'win'. It's about clean, skilled driving - so draft, drift, don't hit the walls, get a few overtakes and you'll usually do well and get more XP than those who ram into you and lose their skill chain.

Doesn't seem to apply for king of the hill or virus though!

I haven't done much online racing yet, but I find that most people don't use the 'road trip' to rack up any XP. So instead of... well, racing to the next race I spend the time to build up skill chains. Even if you don't make it there in time you still join the race (again, haven't played much so may depend on server?).

Yup, you will always join the race, just if you don't make it in time you just don't get the 3k XP (or whatever it is) for making it there. You'll also get an additional amount depending on how skilled you were getting there. So if you get 10k skill chain and still make it to the race, you could get 13k for instance, whilst all those crashing about will only get the bog standard 3k.

It's the same premise for the races themselves. As long as you finish you will always get the same completion bonus regardless of whether you were 1st or last, + your skill chains built up over the race.

I find the system works well. Drive cleanly, and with skill and you will generally beat the griefers who smash into everyone.

I've completed the first two road trips and associated races, done the train race, and returned to the hub but the Club tab is still greyed out. Any ideas?
