Giving it a miss this year - first time in years! Doing a PGCE at uni till June so can't afford 300 hours for this like I normally do. Will be back on it next year though.

Anyone still playing ? Top of the league with Liverpool, just won the Carling cup, in the final of the FA cup and in the last 12 of the Euro cup after a dismal champions league campaign (much like real life :hahasmile.

Yeeeees, just done the double with Hearts (ScotPrem and Scottish Cup) in the 17/18 season after a couple of failures!

Finding it difficult to get strikers to be effective so I'm just playing 4-6-0 and bossing midfield...

I've had the striker issues too. Just keep rotating and changing the way they play DLP/AF/TM till they start scoring.

The one thing really winding me up with the game though is the injuries, I have currently got 4/5 1st team players out with long term injuries.

I'm after getting back into FM after a year or two away.

I didnt enjoy the previous version I played (think was '13?) as it seemed a bit too involved for me, sorting the individual training etc. I ended up downloading a training schedule from the internet and whacking them all on that which left me to do the fun stuff like tactics and transfers and winding the other team up via the media

Is it worth getting the latest version? And if so, is there a way to shortcut the more mundane stuff like the training schedules?

New one's pretty good in that you can set a staff member to do training, contracts, transfers, scouting assignments, loads of stuff really :-)

Training isn't that much of a big deal. You can either leave it to the assistant or do my preferred method of setting it individually Usually you just need the individual training set to a player role in that position (CB - Central Defender, MC - Centeral midfielder, Striker - Complete Forward, etc) when you join the club, and just update it as you bring players in.

I don't know about other people, but general player development seems slower when you focus on just on attribute like the assistant probably will.

760 Hours so far this year type.
