And judging by the appearance of the Empyrean Sentinel at the end of credits, they're already setting up the next round of Borderlands!
That's exactly what I thought as well.

Did I miss something?

I only saw Jack murdering Tassiter after the credits, no Sentinel, and I've just watched it again on Youtube.

There should be a scene of Athena tied to a post, whereupon the real villain of the series, Lillith, orders her executed by firing squad. As the troops shoot her, the Sentinel from the ship at the start of the game arrives, stopping the bullets in midair and saving Athena's life. The Sentinel then suggests a big fight is coming and the good guys will need all the vault hunters they can get.

I'm sure it comes after the credits.

I'm fully confident that Borderlands 3 is already in development for XBone and PS4 as well as PC but of course they're not going to mention or announce it as it would have impacted sales of this. not sure if they're going to go 'MMO' or what but looking forward to it. I'd imagine we might get some info at E3 next year.

The game isn't as good as Bl2 IMO. Sure it's still fun but BL2 was much bigger with way more to do.

Oh right

When you said Sentinel, I thought you meant Empyrean Sentinel, like you'd just fought as the last boss. Of course, at the end of the game, you do see Jack "downloading" the info from the Eridium idol, seeing a map of the planets with vaults scattered across the universe, those were the vaults hunted in BL1 and 2, so it's entirely possible the sentinel talking of the fight to come, was talking about the hunt for those vaults, as this is a prequel after all. I am confident though, that we will see another full BL game. This one, while very enjoyable, did feel like a BL2.5. That said, it did tell the story of Jack, imo one of the best video game characters of all time, and I agree that Lillith is the true villain of the series. I've always been rooting for Jack. Aside from Claptrap, the others are just characterless.
