Eyup, thought I must have got missed somehow! Can't remember exactly what my passphrase was, but it was something along the lines of 'hammering powerfully built MX5s into company director's sausages'...*

Will re-apply!

Am I doing something wrong in my tactics ?

I have been playing this a little bit each day for about 3 weeks now, just for the odd few minutes as building then takes hours.

I have reached level 17, 91 medals and base is level 8, I have bought everything as and when the armoury allows me. Storage is about 77,000 coins and 52,000 wood, much less stone. 4 boats which I tend to load with 8 heavies (Zookas nd Warriors are great but ridiculously vulnerable)

I seem to be in Groundhog Day - not hard enough to beat the Nazi guy bases or most of the opponents, so stick to villages and resource bases. But villages are regularly re-taken each night so I just battle to maintain status quo. And slowly get enough points to up a level, up the base and so do useful stuff look up the gunboat.

Seems designed to make you lose patience and spend lots of money on diamonds to speed things up (I never pay to apps or buy in-play upgrades. So suspect I will dump this soon without getting a sniff of tanks and suchlike

Not sure what level I'm at but I've tried to avoid using diamonds so you can then use them to give the wee boosts. Upgrade your headquarters and use the Gunboat functions. The freeze ray is very useful so make sure you upgrade the Gunboat and use the Armoury.

I'm at lvl 18 HQ and about 105 medals. Make sure you complete as many of the quest things as poss, the mad scientist ones are quite easy, definitely pull up all the trees/smash stones you can in your main base and resources bases as you'll get good diamond rewards.
I've just worked out what each troop is good/bad at and it makes a world of difference too.

what are these quests you speak of?

also why, when I attack a village/base, does it show "chance to get" with a load of jewels which I rarely in fact do get?

JQ - go into armoury, each troop has a "!" In top left corner, click it and down the bottom it gives strength/weaknesses. Eg. Don't send bazooka girls at sniper towers cos the get fked up big style

I am I on a different version of game? The star icon goes to "achievements" which you have limited control over, you just get diamonds when you achieve certain milestones - like upgrade gold storage to level 5 or destroy 100 enemy player bases. No Mad Scientist related ones as far as I can see confused

Sorry bud, I meant achievements, quests are on another of my addictions smile
look for the one about removing stones/trees and I think the other one is about Dr Doom, he pops up every week or so.

Go through all your resource bases and click all over the place, might be one or two you've missed.

Watch out with letting you medal count get too high for you level. Opponents are matched by medals so you will be getting much higher level players invading you.

I got to 350 medals before lvl 40 and was being invaded several times a day. Now at lvl 41 and 290 medals, a week can go by without getting invaded. I can save up more quickly for the upgrades.

=> I only invade a person if they have loads of resources.
=> I will do anything to get resource bases, use powered up tanks if necessary.
=> Invade Dr Terror as much as possible, I use warriors since cheap.
=> Avoid Hammerman (just costs medals for little reward)

If you really want to invade other people, do it on a Dr Terror day to build up resources quickly and spent them before you are invaded.

To answer the other poster:

1. I use warriors for a rush attack. Use smoke cover and shock bombs to get to the HQ as fast as possible. Take out the big defences before you land.

2. I use tanks/healers (expensive) if I really have to win. Take out the rockets first and attack along one side of the map (not a central attack). So use the flare to keep tanks out of range of the defences on the other side. Use shock bombs to buy time.

Stick to Dr Terror and resource bases.

Leave Hammerman and the Dark Guard bases.

Invade opponents only if they have loads of resources that you can turn into upgrades straight away.

Save up diamonds, use for HQ upgrades only. (more important at higher levels where it takes ages to get enough resources)

Get into the PHArming task force. Operation rewards are good and importantly, don't increase your medal count.

thanks for the useful advice

Dr Terror - where and when do you see him? I have never seen him

Defending your base - I am struggling to see the point of spending resources on upgrading defences, they all get rebuilt after a batttle even if base is taken? I guess I just lose any resources not in the vault, and no diamonds. Is the only benefit that you get experience points form the construction?

How to avoid medals? I am only now attacking villages and resouirce bases, and re-taking them when they are invaded. Does it pay to delibarately lose a few battles (and lose medals)?

Bonus boats - I am better off collecting gems or just take wood or diamonds?
