Evole 4v1 shooter

I have an extra 4 as well for PC. Toxic, you have PM.
Played a couple of games. Crashed out on one and the moster won the other two.
I played assault and trapper. Not tried as moster yet.
It's not really clear on what we are supposed to be doing, the first 10 minutes seem to be the hunters running round trying to find the monster the monster hiding until he reaches level 3. Then he comes and kicks the hunters arses. The big issue may be that the hunters are all new and the monster has experience plus the hunters have to work together and that's not really happening at the moment.
It's not very optimised for PC. Press A on start screen, can't scroll the menus unless the cursor is over the scroll bar, basic stuff that should just work.
I feel it's going to gouge you for DLC as well. Exiting I noticed the pre-order and get more characters/monsters. mmmmm.

I watched the gameplay video for this that was on the Xbox One dash a while back (complete with cheesy American football style commentary) and I was bored by the end of it. The concept is interesting, and I understand there are a multitudes of creature types, but the team were shooting the monster for upwards of 5 minutes at one point and it wasn't dead, it just kept evolving to a new state. It looked rather unsatisfying as despite all the flying projectiles, it didn't seem like anyone was hurting it.
I'll probably get it when it comes out, but I think it will be short-lived excitement, like the Left 4 Dead games, which we were told would be "different every time you play", but were in effect not different at all, and became boring very quickly.

I get that the monster needs to be strong, but when it's a fight in an arena the size of a tennis court lasting over 5 minutes of continually chipping the monster's health, while constantly reviving downed friendlies it gets boring fast. It was less of a skirmish and more of a campaign! There are definitely some balance issues to be addressed.I've enjoyed it this afternoon. It took a few rounds to get use to being the monster, but overall enjoyable. The 'big alpha' is quite limit, restricted to a single game mode. I hope with the full game there is more to it.
As the monster, you don't want to get bogged down early on in a 4v1 fight, you're just not strong enough until you have evolved. So the early game as the monster is spent, running, eating and trying to hide, but once you have evolved twice, 4 v 1 becomes much more manageable, especially if you can kill the medic.
