COD - Why the hate?

So I got a copy of AW. I didn't even play the first level. The first cutscene runs at ~1FPS unless I go to Task Manager and disassociate one of the four cores, whereupon it's fine. Then when the game does eventually load, the performance is variable at best, but I can't change any options to try and improve it without going through it all again. fk that. I'll give it another shot if they ever fix it.

Press space in the menu screen for options before loading your game.

Of course this doesn't let you tinker on the fly to see what works, no, you have to sit through the fking cutscene every time if you want to do that.

GTX 560 Ti, 8GB RAM, AMD X4 955.

It's the worst performing game I've encountered on this system by a long, long way. There must be something up.
