XBox 360 - Best games?

Hi all. Been out of gaming for some time, last real console was a PS2 but I've just got hold of a mate's old 360 for next to nothing. Looking to catch up on the last few years of gaming but I'm only really interested in the best.

Got Fallout 3 and Red Dead Redemption to get me started, but what are the best 360 games available across it's history? Imagine someone who's never owned or played one and wants to catch up... What do I need to go get? Should make for some interesting reading

Burnout Revenge! Just recently re-bought it cos I was missing it.

Grid is good fun, as is Trials HD.

All 3 pick-up-and-play too. No useless slush of a backstory to concentrate on.

Forza for a more long-term fix, if you want to get into the nitty-gritty of car tuning.

My kids have played MineCraft for ages and I bought it for the xBox so they can play it here. I've always ignored what they did with it until a couple of weeks ago I got one of my boys to show me what to do.

Now I'm hooked and dare not go on it or it will be another day lost

Yup - IMO Xbox's best exclusive game; 1, 2, 3 & the prequel-esque Judgement game are all really solid games. I liked Mirror's Edge as well but it's a bit marmite for some people; interesting concept though and worth it for the couple of quid it'll cost you.

ETA: plus another vote for Deus Ex HR - one of my favourite all time games, after the original.

Grand theft auto.

Everything you want is in that game , racing,golf,tennis,organised missions, to just assing around shoting people, all in a massive open map where you can go where you like.
