Andretti Autosport #25 Indycar, Justin Wilson's car frown . I wonder whether that will stay in the game?

http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/turn10_postsm340...

I don't follow Indy much, but at the start of the season the driver in car 25 was Simona de Silvestro, so it may be her name on the car as that's probably when the car was put into the game data. If it stays in the game, it would be a good tribute. If it doesn't, there are going to be custom paint replicas made anyway.

What version of the game is everyone going for?
Ultimate. It was always going to be that, but I waited a while before buying the digital game to see if an ultimate disc version was going to be available. There was no sign of that happening, so I used up my Game credit and five English pounds on £85 of Xbox credit and pre ordered. So in man maths, its cost me £5 hehe

I've ordered the day one edition from Zavvi, for £37.99. I've no idea what's different about the day one edition, but for that price I'm not complaining.

Most realistic Silverstone ever. Will it come with a simulated anorak? smile

I've also ordered the Ultimate Edition. For anyone interested, you can save a little bit of money through buying voucher codes from CDKeys.com (I have no affiliation with them).

I bought £80 of Xbox vouchers (1x £50 and 2x £15) for £70.19 and then topped up the last £1.99 with my credit card through the xbox. You can also get a 5% discount code for liking them on facebook, but if you don't have facebook you can still get a 5% code by going here https://www.facebook.com/cdkeyscom/app_39334420741... and entering a fake email address.

Now I'm just hoping the demo on 1st Sep doesn't make me regret pre-ordering!

Hopefully that will give a bit of insight into how the career races are laid out in terms of cars you're allowed to use in what events. Really hoping they got rid of that vague title, use these cars only bks to let you know what types can be used.

So far, I like. I haven't driven the wet race yet (been playing as its downloading), but Yas Marina at night was good, I think there are a few extra walls around the 90 degree corners that weren't there in FM5. There are a few more colours and textures in the paintshop, including something similar to TVR spectraflair paint in silver and black smile (press Y on the livery design options screen).

Tried to give this a go last night but it updated my pre-install of the full game which still wasn't finished when I went to bed!

Good so far. Cars seem twitchier than previous. Roll on the 10th.

P.s. I stopped the pre load to get the deno installed then left the pre install to install.

I havent played a Forza game since Forza 4 so it will be interesting to see how it has changed since then. I've only had a quick spin on the demo and I'm fairly positive so far. Graphics are nice and handling seems fun yet challenging with a pad.

In some areas (Rio) things have gone a bit 'Ridge Racer' with helicopters and confetti explosions but Lime rock seemed rather more grounded and sensible. I suppose Rio is the flagship 'Look at me' track so I can forgive that as it wont be my first choice track anyway. If they try the same thin with Le Mans then I'll be worried!

It's too early to tell how it will stack up against Project Cars but for me, I'm keen to have a 'pick up and play' type experience as my gaming time is very limited these days, so the full on Sim type of game maybe isnt for me. I will keep Project Cars going however as I feel that given a bit more polish and time to develop It can be something great.

I got the day one edition of '5 about a year after it was released. Still not sure what the difference was.

The first race was stupid - with everything set to super easy and no apparent way of changing any settings - managed to get 3rd by just holding the accelerator down and bouncing off the walls for the 2nd half of the lap.

The 2nd race in the Subaru, I whacked everything up - aids off, sim mode, difficulty up...

Car went round like it was on rails. I didn't even notice that I was cranking the handbrake instead of downshifting for the first lap...

Lost interest at that point and cancelled the rest of the install. On that limited basis it felt more arcadey than 5.

I wasn't really that interested in 6, but it definitely reinforced that Forza isn't the racing game series for me. It seems not fun enough to be a good arcade racer, but not involving enough to be a "sim" console racer.
Thats strange as I had the subaru sideways and fish tailing with ease.

WOW impressed. Downloaded last night and played the 3 quail rounds and the invitational.

Graphics are bloody good. I managed to change the settings and drivatar settings to just perfect. manual gears. Only ABS braking .

After finishing it I bought the ultimate Edition.

handles like a dream, fun, great graphics and impressed.

The rain on Sebring is certainly interesting hehe

No assists/ manual/ no rewind. Difficulty was on low though as i wanted to get a feel for the rain more than anything.

First try I hammer the throttle off the line and decide to overtake on the right (just by the pit wall) as me and the pack are approaching the first corner I hit multiple puddles which have accumulated next to the pit wall hehe and spin off in a full 360 into a few cars andcome to a halt. I Then set off again to catch the pack, just after the 1st bend, on the left, little to my knowledge is another huge puddle. Queue car hitting puddle, spinning onto grass and eventually hitting the wall. Certainly brought me down a peg, again.

I think the rain is brilliant, Forza hasnt been this challenging in a while. Cant wait for the full game now. Nurburgring in rain, oh joy.
